I’ve been quite blown away in women’s particularly gynae or thyroid Facebook groups, how many women co support one another to find out how to get their GP to listen, try to get private tests and then decipher what they mean together because they are not believed.

I know this because I followed up each question with a long form response asking respondents to explain the reason for the score. The higher scores have more positive commentary but should, according to the scale, be more critical. A case of fast thinking in action.

I accidentally just conducted a Kahneman-esque experiment. I set up a survey where 1 was “completely agree” and 5 was “completely disagree”. It’s clear that most respondents haven’t looked at the scale and have scored based on a mental model which says higher is better…1/2

@davebriggs I think the problem til now has been that the alternatives been too much like Twitter but NQR. We need a bit more imagination. I’m sad that this place has died. But also excited to see what emerges.

@davebriggs Yes - I think that feels right, for now. But, as you say, there are things that Twitter offered that nothing else does. I’m sure something with emerge. It’s just a question of what… and when.

The whole X thing has really put me off. I’ve held on. But I think I’m done 😥
