The real equity issue in this budget is that Labor are telling us they need to borrow $267 billion of extra debt over the next four years to pay for their out-of-control spending. That is almost identical to the total value of the headline budget deficits that Labor say they will produce between now and 2029-30. The fairness issue is that Labor is spending hundreds of billions of dollars borrowed from future generations to buy votes in the present. If it kept government spending as a share of the economy, or GDP, at 2007-08 levels, when Australia was doing very well indeed, the budget would swing from a projected $64 billion headline deficit to a surplus of about $23 billion. Rather than borrowing from future taxpayers, we would be reducing their debt burden. It is un-Australian to overturn all the rules of the economic and investment game — adversely affecting millions of households and businesses in the process— with zero debate, discussion or notice. The accounting and legal costs alone will impose a small fortune on families and firms. How Labor thought they could get away with this daylight robbery is unclear. It must have something to do with dud polling… afr.com/markets/equity…

What a load of BS....a 'dirty tricks trap'. lol It's pure politics and spin from SA's events co-ordinator in chief (AKA Premier Malinauskus) and dutifully reported by @theTiser . Clearly overlooked his shocking track record on energy projects (e.g net zero, green hydrogen). Better that he sticks to the city circuses rather than bugger up an important aquifer and the entire South East.
The Advertiser@theTiser

Pauline Hanson and Ashton Hurn have both been exposed over the South East fracking furore, falling into a trap laid by the Premier, writes Paul Starick. 👉 bit.ly/4uvpWWq

This is an Australian 🇦🇺 hero who tried to deliver food to starving children. Listen to what Israel did. Demand that @AlboMP & @SenatorWong sanction Israel and expel their ambassador. Israel is a terrorist state. They must pay a price for their crimes.

"I had my hands zip-tied behind my back for so long and it was so tight I almost started vomitting, they slammed my head into a table several times and degraded me as I was strip searched. They had me in handcuffs for 19 hours to the point my skin had begun to swell around them.”

Publicly anti-renewables except for herself and Gina Gina Rinehart's company, Hancock Prospecting, has installed solar and battery systems at its Pilbara mines for dewatering operations, saving diesel and achieving 55% RENEWABLE energy penetration at those sites. .. The company has also planned a 30 MW solar farm for its Mulga Downs mine, and Rinehart has a significant investment in the Kathleen Valley lithium mine, which runs on 81% RENEWABLES (wind, solar, and battery). . These projects highlight a strategic move towards renewable energy for economic savings at remote mine sites, despite Rinehart's public opposition to net zero policies. . Hancock Prospecting mining operations Pilbara mines: Three solar and battery hybrid systems have been installed for dewatering, combining 750 kW of solar PV and 1.68 MWh of battery storage. . Renewable penetration: These systems are designed to achieve 55% renewable energy penetration at the remote, off-grid sites, resulting in ANNUAL SAVINGS of up to 250,000 liters of diesel. . Future plans: Hancock Prospecting has applied to build a 40 MW solar facility at its Mulga Downs mine. Kathleen Valley lithium mine Rinehart's role: Rinehart is a major shareholder in the project, which is operated by Liontown Resources. . Renewable power: The mine has a hybrid power station with 30 MW of wind, 17 MW of solar, and a 17 MW/19 MWh battery, which achieved an 81% average penetration of renewables in the 2025 fiscal year.

AMAZING—The flotilla activists are totally fine boarding the plane to go to Turkey, but when they land, they’re crippled on stretchers. What happened and how’s this Israel’s fault again?
Mossad Commentary@MOSSADil

FLOTILLA—The “activists” have arrived in Istanbul looking surprisingly healthy for people the media claimed were tortured, starved, beaten, and “nearly murdered.” The propaganda collapses the moment the cameras are turned on.

They bulldozed vast stretches of the living Amazon basin for a crude highway to help shuttle 50,000 delegates to COP30. This was November 2025 - and modern civilisation was crashing the party of an ancient rainforest in order to save the planet. It was a profound environmental insult already shrouded in the past. Instead of global outrage, its an enduring scar. The road access debacle carved a 13km wound directly into the bloodstream of the protected Belém Environmental Protection Area. A causeway of lifeless red dirt was driven through dense green jungle, as mud-caked excavators sputtered under the banner of summit preparation. This was progress on the march. But this isn’t just 'any' jungle - and it was a real highway only for a moment. Now the 'Avenue of Liberty' is a tawdry access road for the drug cartels, illegal loggers, and opportunistic cattle ranchers. Cash crops like soybean and oil palms are also eating the jungle alive. The legacy of this crime are the fragmented habitats and a massive localised spike in fresh roadkill (in a country losing 475 million wild animals yearly to roads). The global elite descended on Belém, lectured the world on the environment for a few days, then flew away. The bureaucratic class got their photo-ops, but the ecosystem was left permanently changed, and powerless local indigenous peoples were left to rue their shrinking homelands. Now, no one even bothers to remember. It's just another example of the biodiversity nuisance getting in the way of progress.

Melbourne Name & Shame: Charlie Ann Tidmarsh & Edith Pope On Anzac Day (April 25, 2026), Charlie Ann Tidmarsh, 20, of Reservoir, and Edith Pope, 22, of Northcote, allegedly went on a graffiti spree targeting two Melbourne RSL clubs. Police allege they spray-painted offensive messages including “f--k ANZAC”, “kill the troops”, “death to the ADF”, and “die war criminal imperialists” on the Reservoir RSL (around midnight) and the Bell Street RSL in Heidelberg Heights (around 1:45am). They were caught in the act at the second location. Damage: ~$3,000 to Reservoir RSL and $200 to Bell St RSL. They were charged with criminal damage, marking offensive graffiti, and grossly offensive public conduct. The pair appeared in Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on May 19, 2026, hiding behind masks and umbrellas. Their case was adjourned until June 17, 2026. Disrespecting veterans and Anzac Day memorials like this is criminal

#BREAKING Attorney General, Michelle Rowland, outright refuses to answer a direct question of whether the $10,000 she was made to payback, were for flights for her husband and kids: Reporter “was that the flights for your husband and kids?” Rowland “that was the amount that IPIA said I had to pay back” Reporter “but why won’t you say what you had to pay it back for, was it for the flights for your husband and kids?” Rowland “I want to be clear that this was private advice” Reporter “so you had to payback around half the amount of the trip?” Rowland “yes” Reporter “there was a time when a Minister might be forced to resign over something like this, do you accept that?” Rowland “what I accept is that I acted within the guidelines and paid the money back” Absolutely no accountability under this Albanese Government. They just spend our tax money like drunken sailors.

BREAKING: This NAIDOC Week (5 July 2026 – Sun, 12 July) Anthony Albanese, Lidia Thorpe, Malarndirri McCarthy and Marion Scrymgour will be joined by up to 10,000 'Invasion Day' protestors to work cleaning and repairing houses, starting in Alice Springs. "It'll be fun!" beamed the PM. "Just bring rubber gloves, a hazmat suit, some Ajax and cloths! Stomach-pumps will be provided by the Army - but I don't want anyone to look upon this as an 'Intervention' like Howard's racist one that assumed people in remote areas needed help." "Also, volunteers should not be tempted to rescue any poor poppets, as that would be stealing them. Better they're left where they are, so we're not called racist." "Come! Join us! Even Linda Burney is having Gucci run up a rubber suit for her!"
