Earlier today, a Kaduna state high court sentenced Ayuba Barde and 5 others, all Christians to 10 years in prison for defending themselves again the aggression of the late Fulani Emir of Jere, Dr. Sa'ad Usman who attempted to grabbed their ancestral land in 2014. Ayuba who also sustained gunshot injury from the Emir's bodyguard and his case mates have been in Kaduna prison since 2014 awaiting trial.
