I’m happy (and somewhat emotional) to share that we’ve sold @GamerPayGG.
What started as a small payment solution launched in a CS Facebook group has turned into a fully fledged marketplace that’s served hundreds of thousands of players and processed over a quarter of a billion kroner!
I couldn’t be happier that GamerPay will continue operating under the ambitious game studio, @SocialFirst_. They share the same passion for gaming, real-money trading of in-game items, and has a community-first approach that we built GamerPay on.
These past four years building GamerPay have been the most intense, thrilling, and rewarding years of my professional life.
There were countless ups and downs – far too many to list – but getting into @ycombinator was a clear milestone that catapulted the company into an important phase.
Still, what tops everything is the people and the friendships that I’ve gotten via the CS trading community.
The shared passion made this journey unforgettable, and there are simply too many people here to mention.
Even the sale itself or any financial success along the way doesn’t compare to that.
When your work stops feeling like “work” and becomes part of who you are - that’s when you know you’ve made it.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that building something meaningful takes relentless focus, brutal honesty, and genuine care for the people around you - whether they’re your customers or colleagues. And I believe that's a key learning worth sharing to you here as well.
I’ll be joining Social First for a short transition period, and then taking some time off to enjoy my family and friends even more.
I want to end stating that none of this would have been possible without the people who believed in us - our investors, the players who trusted us, the community here on Twitter (!!). The creators who spread the word and my amazing teammates who put their heart into building something special.
Last but not least, my girlfriend, who’s been an absolute rock through all of it.
GG!

Day 3. Let's talk about the inevitable...
PATCHES!
As many of you know, discontinued patches have turned out to be quite the investment 🚀💰 and I believe they still carry the potential to move up even further!📈 Here's why:
As of today, there are three different collections of discontinued patches:
🎸 Metal Skill Group Patch Collection
🏴☠️ Operation Riptide Patch Collection
🇸🇪 Stockholm Major Patch Collection
Especially the first two have been great performers so far. Released during Operation Broken Fang & Operation Riptide respectively. The reason for their success is very simple. Nobody cared. During both operations, there were so many shiny new skin collections, stickers and more to buy and invest in that people didn't care for the patches. Back then, agents were still a relatively new thing for which most people didn't care. As usual though, when time passes, people start to adapt and get used to it. Nowadays, most people like to equip an agent skin and customisation through patches is getting more "normal". This is where we start seeing the lack of supply for those discontinued patches.
Especially the Operation Riptide ones are going insanely CRAZY. With its most notorious "Bayonet Frog Patch" reaching up to ~$400 steam! 💣📈 Other ones from this collection are showing similar trends. On some of the most popular marketplaces like Steam or BUFF these patches struggle to even have any supply available (often hovering as low as 5~10 supply).
I believe these patches are truly rare and not just hype or manipulation. In some way they seem to be the "patch version" of the howling dawn, harp of war, winged defuser...
I expect them to rise even faster when new agents get released. Imagine a fresh collection of new agents (with an operation for example). This bring so many new customisation opportunities with older patches. It would be the ultimate flex to apply three 400$ Bayonet Frogs on a new agent. Certified $1,200 baller craft 😎
If you're already feeling priced-out from the Riptide or Broken Fang Patches I can totally understand. In that case, take a look at Stockholm. These are the only team patches ever released. And even though their supply is bigger... it looks like Valve isn't planning on re-introducing team patches. Even with CS2's emphasis on agent skins, they weren't brought back for Copenhagen. It's now been five Majors since we had team patches. At some point, the supply will start to dry up. In my opinion, team patches might just be the most underrated patch investment at the moment.

It still needs some tweaking to do and fix the glitter shader, but other than that it's running pretty smoothly ;)

Yoyo sorry for not posting much recently! I've been busy working on commissions and developing a tool for myself and maybe others to use which automatically sets up sticker shaders which should save a lot of time for when creating renders Quick sneak peak 👀
