Dr. Joseph Benevento, Dr. Priscilla Riggle, and Dr. Mary Shapiro have all been excellent professors during their time at Truman. Their retirement reception will take place on May 5 from 3:30-5:00 PM at the Ruth Towne Museum and Visitors Center. This event is free and open to all!

Congratulations to alumnus Cole Flottman (@sociolinguini) for his acceptance into the PhD program at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa with full funding! He will teach Intro to Linguistics while working on language documentation of understudied and endangered languages.

Shout-out to alumnus Simon Travers, who was recently accepted into the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program, a competitive program managed by the Japanese government. He will travel to Japan to be an Assistant Language Teacher. Read more about it here:
