Two of the Democratic party’s most promising presidential prospects come from Georgia: Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. But their cases for running for president would be dramatically weakened if Democrats don’t control the governorship. lnk.thebulwark.com/4tRZHIu

I was entirely peaceful on January 6, yet the federal government arrested me on 30 years of federal charges (21.5 years of charges were thrown out for being bogus before Trump even won re-election). I lost my job. I had to delay the completion of my PhD. I was banned from Facebook, Instagram, and PayPal. I used up my savings and had to go into debt. I also had to fight in court for four years to defend against the false allegations brought against me. I was never convicted of a single crime, yet my life was crushed by the fascist weaponization of government.

I hear from people that all boomers have like 5-6 bedroom houses, ate out all the time and did it all on one paycheck. You guys must know a lot of rich boomers because almost all the ones I know ate out maybe once a week, mom and dad both worked jobs and had 2-3 bedroom homes max

$500 a month paid to social security for 40 years gets you $2k a month in retirement and $0 for your kids when you die. $500 a month in the S&P for 40 years gets you $20k-$27k a month in retirement and $3.1 million to your kids when you die. It’s time to end social security.

If you're retired and collecting social security, maybe you shouldn't be voting in elections. Most of you are brainwashed by Fox News and MSNBC and get to sit back in your recliners in homes that are paid for, while most people under 50 are struggling just to survive each day.

@BryanTweed16 He was right. There was essentially no separation and a lot of guys on the leaderboard that you would not see in most majors. However, I think golfers enjoyed watching. They had to hit the fairway to have a shot and they putted like us.

🚨🚨🚨#GOLFCHAT QUESTION #3🚨🚨🚨 Rory McIlroy had a controversial PGA Championship, including his critical comments about Aronimink's setup to reacting to hecklers on Sunday. Was Rory correct in his comments and how he handled everything this week? If no, where was he wrong?

@NAllison89 Tell me you know little about the data of wealth in the USA without telling me lol. They hold 50% of the entire wealth in the country. Also they held a higher percentage of wealth at each stage of their age timeline than other generations. Yes they have had it easier. Just data.

What I am getting from the boomer housing debate is that younger people increasingly think two things: One is that younger people shouldn't have to work for things like their parents did. Two: A lot of people overestimate just how rich most 65+ people really are.

This is only the beginning. He has no plans to leave office or allow free elections. Nor are his plans hidden—they're all unfolding in plain sight. The Insurrection never ended and the Christofascists won't stop until our democracy is gone. Choose who you'll be in this moment.

The USS Arizona is the only site in American waters where recreational access is prohibited specifically because it is an active mass grave. More than 900 service members remain inside the wreck. Surviving crew members still have their ashes returned there to rejoin their shipmates. The narrow exceptions for access exist for Navy divers, preservation teams, and those ceremonial missions. The exception used here was the one for officials and dignitaries during formal military engagements. The FBI Director called it a VIP snorkel.

A trip near the wreck—where 900 service members remain entombed—has renewed focus on why the site is one of the most-restricted U.S waters. #Echobox=1779111363" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">newsweek.com/what-makes-uss…

@doqholliday The median net worth of the 65+ crowd is approx 400K. So most boomers can’t do this even though they want to. Add in the rising and unpredictable cost of long term care and one can grasp the the challenge of passing things in early

If you're a boomer in your 60s and 70s and you own property and are well off but your children are struggling and can't even buy a home, what the hell are you doin? Your time is over. It's their time. Help them. Be a good parent, do whatever it is you need to do... sell the house if you need to, give them some kickbacks to help buy their first home, etc. Life is short. Be a good parent and don't squat on stuff that doesn't matter. Give them their time.

I, for one, cannot believe that Lee Westwood—a man who sits on Twitter all day looking to pick fights over every perceived slight not only to himself but to others (simp!)—did not have the intestinal fortitude to ever win a major championship. Meanwhile, he had to sit and watch (we all know he was glued just like all the other LIV weirdos who say they aren't) as a fellow countryman and relative unknown to the casual golf fan, Aaron Rai, just put his head down and went to work at Aronimink on Sunday, achieving something he'll never achieve despite not having anywhere near the talent Westwood possessed in his prime. Just an unbelievably tough scene.

Dear male golfers over 60, You don’t get a prize for finishing your round in under 3 hours. When the course gets backed up, but is still ahead of time, you have no reason to hit into the group in front of you and gesticulate like an angry toddler on each hole. Me

This PGA Championship is unwatchable. The course setup is absolutely horrible...no risk-reward, no real scoring holes...just par after par without any drama. Nothing with this setup really allows the best in the world to separate from the rest. As a result any random guy can win
