I have been away from social media for most of the past 8 years. Why? Because I've been heads-down learning, building, and operating in the world of internet-native finance, also known as DeFi (decentralized finance). Below is a glimpse into what I've been up to over the last 8 years: • Wrote a white paper on Cosmos and Polkadot in 2017 • Built a cryptoeconomic advisory firm in 2018 • Co-authored the Cosmos Hub white paper in 2022 • Co-founded @ValenceZone in 2023, the universal DeFi computers that enables programmable interoperability across blockchains Writing that first white paper in 2017 sparked an insatiable curiosity for internet-native finance. I felt a passion that my traditional finance career never gave me. The turning point that solidified my belief in DeFi, though, came in 2020. It was the worst year of my life (as it was for so many of us). Everything I touched that year went horribly. I had to shut down my advisory firm and lay off people who had trusted me as their leader. I began to think I was wrong about crypto. I was feeling dumb for throwing away my stable, respectable career for a "scam". But then something amazing happened: my investment in Polkadot hit 160x. I made more money in a day than I ever had in my life. This taught me never to let other people's skepticism cause me to doubt my thesis ever again. I decided to go all-in on internet-native finance and haven't looked back since. My mission is to be the most trusted guide for anyone curious about how internet-native finance can make their lives and the lives of those in their community better. I've seen so many people get turned off by the overabundance of scams and schemes. I want to be the one who helps others avoid the mines that I stepped on—the glass that I had to chew—as I made my way to the frontier. This mission is why I've decided to become more active on X and LinkedIn. I want to meet like-minded people who see crypto as a long-term financial, political, and technological revolution rather than just a way to make a quick buck. I want to reach new people and help them navigate DeFi. Why? Because so much of DeFi is fragmented into isolated ecosystems. It forces people to operate within a confined set of blockchains and protocols, limiting the: • Assets they can buy • Yield they can generate • The hedges they're able to make To solve this fragmentation, enable seamless user experiences, and offer better prices, my team at @TimewaveLabs is building @Valence. Valence enables programmable interoperability across blockchains. Programmable interoperability is important because it means that you do not have to know anything about: • The blockchain you're on • The DeFi protocols you need to stitch together • The bridges you need to use in order to get the best deals Instead, Valence enables you to focus on what you want: buying, selling, generating yield, and hedging. I'll be creating a mix of content to target the 'crypto-curious' while also elaborating on how experienced builders can utilize Valence to build applications and offer user experiences that would otherwise be impossible. You're sitting on $100k worth of $wstETH, generating just the yield from @LidoFinance while you could be earning even more. How? Easy. No signatures, No gas fees, Just a way to interact with defi with easily. We’ve created an app that is able do all that, powered by @biconomy paymasters and bundlers. This should be the future of crypto UX to onboard billions. A UX that is familiar to traditional banking.

Visual design in DeFi dApp is more than just aesthetics. Thoughtful UX/UI makes complex financial processes intuitive, lowers entry barriers, and builds trust. A well-designed interface feels more user-friendly, even if its functionality is identical to less polished alternatives
