We are witnessing a dangerous escalation of rhetoric and action that places entire populations at risk.
When the President of our nation speaks of the possibility that “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” we must recognize the gravity of where that path leads. This isn't strategy. It is genocidal language.
Mothers. Fathers. Children. Families.
The destruction of precious human life in an effort to control the natural resources of any nation is inexcusable. Our humanity, no matter what nation we live in, is non-negotiable.
We cannot allow rhetoric to distance us from the reality of what is at stake. Every life matters. Every community matters.
We must elect a competent and morally conscious Congress that truly values the sacredness of human life and will take action to hold our executive branch accountable. We must demand accountability from leadership that shows disregard for that responsibility.
Kingian Nonviolence calls us to do more than respond. We must take seriously the study and practice of nonviolence, and we must develop leaders who operate from a love-centered place.
Our humanity is not negotiable.

@LauraLoomer @AmericanAir Try reading a book? Can’t be the worst thing that could befall you on a flight 🤓

Thank you American Airlines @AmericanAir for having the worst WIFI ever. I love paying $17 for WiFi that doesn’t work so I can be 3 hours late in getting my work done for the day plus another hour late on top of that since the plane was delayed… again.
I’ve never seen an airline with worse WIFI. It enrages me when I have to sit still in silence with no ability to do my work.
They really need to update their WiFi. It’s horrible.

@ChuckGrassley @ralakbar We appreciate the attention being paid, but as a grown man, spell your words, and use some punctuation. You can do this! We are a civil society; we can handle it. 😎

A mess of spin, deflection, and outright lies.
Leavitt talks China “deals,” ICE “heroes,” and Gaza “rebuilding”—all while dodging the reality:
Trump’s policies fuel chaos, not solutions.
Inflation? Still crushing families.
ICE raids? Terrorizing communities.
“Beautiful bill”? Just another power grab.
They sell cruelty as “order,” lies as “leadership,” and call it patriotism. Don’t buy it.

@Acyn And who is she, people wonder? What ‘wealth’ and depth of educational expertise has she developed over her years in the classroom, school administration and curriculum research? It would be a great time to play that card as opposed to throwing this ignorant tripe into the wind😡

Thank you, 60 Minutes. You will be around long after Trump is gone.
No need to add anything to this! For nine straight weeks, CBS’s “60 Minutes” has held the Trump administration’s feet to the fire, refusing to back down despite a barrage of legal threats and presidential tantrums. The most recent episode tackled Trump’s controversial policies on Ukraine—where correspondent Scott Pelley interviewed President Zelenskyy at a bombed site—and Greenland, highlighting local resistance to Trump’s annexation ambitions. These are just the latest in a series of hard-hitting segments: previous weeks have exposed the administration’s dismantling of USAID, the firing of government watchdogs, and the chilling effects of Trump’s executive orders on diversity and equity.
Trump’s response has been as predictable as it is alarming. He’s called “60 Minutes” a “dishonest Political Operative,” demanded the FCC strip CBS of its license, and is pursuing a $20 billion lawsuit over their coverage—especially an interview with Kamala Harris he claims was unfairly edited. He’s even pressed his own FCC appointee to punish CBS and other critical outlets, a move right out of the authoritarian playbook: using government power to silence dissent and intimidate journalists.
In an era when too many media organizations shy away from confronting power, “60 Minutes” is showing what real journalism looks like. As Lesley Stahl put it, the show is “fighting for our life” and standing up for the First Amendment. When the stakes are this high—when a sitting president is openly threatening the free press—media courage isn’t just admirable, it’s essential for democracy to survive. repost @other98
