@taylor_maxine @mhjd_85 There was a very well-known synchro coach back in the day who used to weigh her athletes in front of the group and ridicule them if they gained. But, my synchro coach was fantastic and that never happened to me.

@mhjd_85 I encourage you to look at synchro coaches! Not saying they're all good (there are definitely some 😬 ones out there) but the most successful synchro teams tend to have coaches that can develop supportive and healthy atmospheres

So I’ve read enough skating articles about starving athletes and abusive coaches. I want to write a story about healthy eating habits with figure skaters and encouraging supportive coaches. If this is the side of skating you’ve experienced, please DM me so I can interview you :)

Vaccines against contagious respiratory viruses, like Flu and now COVID, are supposed to keep people out of hospitals and away from ventilators. That is their historical barometer of success. They are not intended to prevent a positive test.
