What a great day at the Virginia State Capitol for Virginia Beef & Dairy Day Maola® was proud to be part of an important conversation about agriculture, nutrition, and local impact—connecting with @GovernorVA, Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Katie Frazier, and dozens of lawmakers, staff members, and Capitol visitors. We were honored to stand alongside the Virginia Dairy Princess Program and the @VSDAOnline, showcasing how Virginia’s dairy community works together to support our Commonwealth. As the only producer of half‑pints in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maola is especially proud to serve Virginia schools, nourish kids, and provide fresh, local milk for families and consumers across the state. Days like yesterday give us the opportunity to share our story and reinforce why local dairy matters. Big news: The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act! Schools can once again choose to serve whole and 2% milk at meals. Thank you to @CongressmanGT, @DrKimSchrier, @RogerMarshallMD, @SenPeterWelch, and more than 115 bipartisan co-sponsors.

The U.S. House of Representatives today passed the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025 by voice vote, delivering final congressional approval for legislation that will restore whole and 2% milk to America’s school cafeterias for the first time in more than a decade. Thank you to U.S. Representative @CongressmanGT and @RepKimSchrier for their work to bring whole and 2% milk back to students across the country! The bill is expected to be signed into law by President Trump, which will cap a historic, years-long effort by IDFA, dairy food companies, dairy farmers, partners, school nutrition leaders, physicians and nutritionists, and parents across the country to restore access to the nutritious milk options children overwhelmingly prefer.
