Your regular reminder that we created every job description of a digital, data and tech team in local government last year and we are happy to share them to save some of your efforts if you're trying to do similar.

@maadonna What a great question! Perhaps non-design thinking is assuming you know the right solution and working towards it in a production line manner - vs design seeking to understand the problem and trst/iterate towards a solution

Since the first edition in 1966, the Style manual has evolved with the times. The upcoming edition will be digital-by-default to meet the changing needs of content creators in government. (Note: this image was taken prior to COVID-19 social distancing). bit.ly/2T271mo

@VanessaRoarty Hi Vanessa, this was most likely caused by a burst water main in Hawker yesterday evening. Our crews managed to get it repaired quickly however it's likely that the burst caused movement in the pipes and sediment to stir. Has it cleared for you this morning?

Residents in the Gungahlin area may experience discoloured water throughout the day due to changes in pressure in the network which has caused sediment in the water pipes to stir. We are sorry if this has disturbed your day in any way 💧

Excellent opening keynote at #ICEGOV2019 by Randall Brugeaud (CEO Australia's Digital Transformation Agency @DTA) - both modest and informative - focusing especially on the DTA's life-events approach.

@kurisu @dav_hamill @WalkerUXRanger @leisa @DTA And we are still using this great research to inform the work being done by the "end of life" community, facitated by the DTA, where people from across different levels of government can come together to consider how government can better support people during this time.

I've spent 3 weeks with a small team making a 'service map of a death' to try understand all the things people need to do when a loved one dies. It's been fascinating. Is there any appetite out there for me to write up about method/process/the weird things we found? #userresearch

Join us next week to design better ways to help people when they experience different events in their life - like having a baby or caring for a loved one. There are still a few places available but get in quick if you haven't registered yet.
DTA@DTA

Registrations are open for the next govX life event community meetup, Designing the future, to be held on Wednesday 6 March 2019. If you're interested in working together as a community, register now via: bit.ly/2HZiTCA
