Very excited to have been chosen for an @EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship! Next year, I’ll be joining Ivan Matic at the @InstitutCochin in Paris to study the role of DNA topology in driving mutation bias. A huge thank you to @EMBO for supporting this research!

TLDR: 1️⃣ We can test for selection within a species using DCA. 2️⃣ Gene essentiality plays a key role on short time scales but is less significant in the long term. 3️⃣ We detect gene inactivations increasing fitness in the short term but counter-selected in the long term. 16/16
