@PRabbitholes @TafferKing451 Rose-tinted glasses I guess. I replayed it last month and sadly DOTO is really stripped down on a lot of fronts. I wouldve loved to see an actual dlc for D2 that had all the bells and whistles (like playing through the dlc with the complete D2 powerset, instead of just 3 powers)

I don’t think that was the intent. Arkane clearly wanted the world to react to player’s actions. Things like “more rat swarms appear because there’s more corpses to eat, or you can find an enemy as a weeper later” is cool world reactivity.
It’s the multiple endings that misfire.

I enjoyed everything about Dishonored except the half-baked morality system. I think it was meant to give you a reason to use chokeholds and non-lethal takedowns, but it felt more like giving you a bunch of toys and then telling you not to use them.

@PRabbitholes @TafferKing451 Yeah except DOTO completely removed the Chaos system. And not just from the mission screen. Things like freeing the bloodflies from the taxidermy shop in the 2nd mission never change the outcome in the 3rd (its always infested, wether you freed them or not)

@TafferKing451 Been a while since I played it but I remember thinking Death of the Outsider finally nailed the Chaos system. Made the world’s reactions to your decisions feel more like gray facts of life and less like binary things that stacked for/against you in the ending

Quick slap together prototype of an idea I had to solve this.
Holding the key shows how far you've charged a throw based on the anim of the hand / crosshair.
although charging throws isnt a thing yet I think the video shows what I mean

@FussyBootz @TafferKing451 There's a bonecharm in doto called "rapid displacement" iirc that makes Displace behave like normal Blink. It's very useful, especially if you're coming straight from D1/D2

@sean_gause This is the worst thing ever, if you want shape keys to export I need to export the .blend and keep getting flashbanged because unity imported my lighting setup I use for baking. Also the 90° rotation thing is awful

@TafferKing451 Something that also occurred to me while contemplating alternatives to moss arrows, but it's really goofy, suspends disbelief to carry them around, and probably overpowered if you can pick the rugs back up.
