Seniors deserve our respect and support. The Ontario government, led by Doug Ford, are leading several legislative measures and investments to enhance support for seniors, particularly those living with dementia, including: -$2 Billion to transform home care in Ontario -mandating the implementation of organized dementia care programs in all long-term care facilities -services that address the cultural, linguistic, religious, and spiritual needs of seniors -new offenses related to abuse or neglect of residents, aiming to strengthen protections for seniors in care facilities -a provincial framework to improve access to dementia care across various settings, including hospitals, home care, long-term care homes, hospices, and community care services -a person-centered approach to ensure equitable access to services throughout Ontario -expansion of ‘Services for Seniors at Home’ to enable seniors to live independently in their communities -Providing more support options for caregivers through expanded respite care and adult day programs These initiatives - part of a broader strategy to meet the growing needs of Ontario’s aging population - reflect the Ontario government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for seniors, by enhancing care standards, expanding access to essential services, and supporting caregivers across the province. The Federal government has an obligation to fund healthcare per our universal healthcare agreement and they've been letting everyone in Canada down by reneging on their promises.

By prioritizing infrastructure, Ford’s government is building the foundation for long-term economic growth, creating jobs, and positioning Ontario as a leader in productivity and opportunity. More jobs and more infrastructure equals more consumer spending, and more tax revenue collected from industry - to spend on the things we need - including affordable housing, personal supports (OW, ODSP), and grants for small businesses. Healthy economic activity is also critical to supporting pension growth, for you and your family. Don’t forget. The previous liberal government left Ontario in massive debt, with extremely long school repair and maintenance backlogs. We’re moving forward, cleaning up their mess.
