There’s no reason to assume Temp V is more potent than ordinary V.

Butcher himself was on same level in hand to hand combat. The laser and flight where homelander shined. 1vs 20 against people near your level is impossible.

Two, Homelander did not lose to Butcher and Soldier Boy. He overpowered them, requiring a third party and he still escaped
