Today’s Victoria Day in Canada. I don’t support the monarchy and I think Queen Victoria was in many ways quite vain and dopey, but I’ve grown to respect her as someone who—in her own elitist way—cared about middle class people and sought a positive role shaping bourgeois culture.

@JJ_McCullough I think you are too entrenched in anti-conspiracy mindsets. You not understanding something doesn't make it a conspiracy theory.

This is so dumb. People are freaking out over digital price displays in supermarkets and “many fear” they will result in companies somehow spying on them and changing prices in real time to screw them. I’m sick of conspiracy theories getting sincere reporting because “many fear.”

I’m bullish on Avi Lewis. Not because I personally think he’s great, but because I think the media, NDP establishment, and lefty influencers all really like him and are determined to make him a thing in a way they weren’t for the previous two NDP leaders.

@JJ_McCullough At this point just let Quebec be independent, they seem to cause more headaches than anything. Give Quebec independence and let the rest of the country join America.

@FoxKairo Trans people act like some sort of mockery or imitation of their target gender. This has nothing to do with passing physically. Trans women act like little boys whose entire understanding of women is through shitty stereotypes.

@FoxKairo Mainstream queer culture is extremely toxic, and a lot of the trans people I've met are hypersexual degenerates. I seriously considered becoming trans, but the behavior of quite literally every trans person ive ever seen turned me off of the idea.

I will never understand transphobic individuals. Half the time ppl seem offended that we are happy with who we are and enjoying life or they are just being sheep and hating because they see others doing the same.
