I had the pleasure of hosting 'hot chocolate with the headteacher' yesterday with this fabulous group of Year 5 pupils who consistently go above and beyond in their behaviour, attitudes and service to the school. Well done everyone! @ValeAcadTrust

Year 4 have celebrated all that we have learned in our Vikings topic today. The children enjoyed listening to a Viking saga, making Viking helmets, trying their hand at weaving and tucking into a Viking feast. @ValeAcadTrust

We have new flags and a new sign above our door - ready for our Open Morning tomorrow (Wednesday 18th Oct - 9:00-10:30am). Everyone is very welcome to visit our wonderful school and we are looking forward to seeing you in the morning. @ValeAcadTrust

Year 6 started this term with a fantastic STEM visit from the Royal Navy - they looked at coding, pneumatics and electronics - thank you @stem_RN we can't wait to see you next year! @ValeAcadTrust

Congratulations to our Year 6 pupils who received their Arts Award Explore certificates from Trinity College London yesterday. This is a fantastic achievement with each pupil creating an impressive portfolio of artwork over 12 months to achieve the award. @ValeAcadTrust

It is our annual cross country run in Wantage Park tomorrow (Tuesday). The forecast is looking good - remember to bring in your PE if it isn't in school!

We held our leavers' service at Ss Peter and Paul this morning. It was a beautiful service where we were able to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 as well as pray for them as they move on to secondary school. Thank you to Rev Katherine and to everyone involved. @ValeAcadTrust

We were honoured to welcome Ray Collins this afternoon who presented our VAT Character and Citizenship Awards. Ray presented over 100 children with their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. What a fabulous achievement everyone. Thank you Ray! @raycollinstrust @ValeAcadTrust

Happy half term everyone! On Thursday, our Year 5 & 6 boys and girls took part in a cricket tournament at Challow & Childrey Cricket Club. Our boys came runners up and our girls won, winning both their matches. Well played everyone. @ValeAcadTrust

We are all set up for our Year 5 camp out!!! An enormous thank you to our team of parent tent putter-uppers. It looks like it is going to be a glorious evening. @ValeAcadTrust

Ducklings have hatched in our nursery!!! They are unbelievably yellow and fluffy. Today they had a dip in the water-tray - it was wonderful. Thank you to our Friends for funding the eggs and incubator and to the family who will be adopting them next week. @ValeAcadTrust

We are very proud of our Eco Team who have been out and about in Wantage with Mrs Read picking up litter. The Eco Team wanted to do something for the local community and thought that keeping Wantage tidy and litter-free was a great place to start! @ValeAcadTrust
