I must implore the women of the world that the surveillance, control and erasure of Afghan women will not be contained in Afghanistan. It will spread. This implicates all of us. Because if laughing, chatting is illegal in Afghanistan, it can be anywhere else.

Competition ratios in 🇬🇧 released The total lack of thought around jobs vs performative “oh, we will create new med school places” is playing out as predicted This is not a mistake These concerns were raised by myself & others *pre-COVID* I’d ask you to come to your own conclusions about why they are doing this* *spoilers - it’s not for your benefit or patient care #medtwitter #MedEd medical.hee.nhs.uk/medical-traini…

Did an extremely risky “hail Mary” operation on a cancer patient, after he was declined by multiple other centers. Please read this heartfelt letter from his wife. Sorry to humble-brag, but if you’re a trainee, or anyone struggling to remember your “why”… THIS. IS. WHY. ❤️

Most Competitive Specialities in the UK - CT1 /ST1 level 2024 I have arranged the specialities from highest to lower level competition ratios. Important to note, the IMT recruitment ratios are not published yet and not part of the list. Least competitive specialities are Paediatrics and GP. Psychiatry is almost as competitive as Radiology but I do not think this represents the reality as due Psychiatry only using only MSRA for recruitment, people who are not interested are also applying as a backup. These ratios show us that there is no shortage of doctors in the UK. There is no need to find cheaper alternatives of doctors. Reference: medical.hee.nhs.uk/medical-traini…

How many Demure and Mindful cuts to get to baby? I once saw a doc do it in 2-3 forceful, machette like slices, a thing of nightmares.
