@WaywardGrlPhoto I had no idea how gut wrenching it is to write an obit! You really have to confront the reality of the loss, and there’s all the pressure about getting it just right, wanting so badly to do them justice. How do you sum up an entire person and their whole life in 600 words?

Finally getting my head above water since my mother passed. Just yesterday I felt like maybe I could breathe again? Look around, see the sky & the birds. I finished her obituary; only 600 words but it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever written. Thank you all for your kind words 💕

Yeah so he sucked extra bad today. I’m so rattled. I wish it was easy to just drop him. But he’s also a coworker and I work with him 3 days a week. So yeah. Things are complicated af.

@pussels68 As a Charge Nurse on that unit I have been trained to the monitor room so not just any nurse can do it. Although any ICU RN can come in and watch their own patients, there wasn’t the staff. I’m not back tonight which is only reason I did it but never again.

@pussels68 12 hours is my normal shift and then they were short on day shift for a monitor tech and then the other one called out sick. So that left one for the whole hospital so one night shift tech and me stayed four hours until they could get a couple people to come in at 11am.

Just worked my first 16 hour shift; 12 hours as Charge and 4 hours watching the ICU’s telemetry monitors. Fucking tired.
