Since he entered prison; Southeast has become peaceful and calm. I didn't say he should remain there shaa.

Dear #Ndigbo: Regardless of your affiliation, faction or politics, desist from troubling MAZI NNAMDI KANU with what you post on social media. A man in prison (for your sake) deserves his peace, maximum cooperation & every support & loyalty he can get, especially from his base.

For avoidance of doubt, Ndigbo remains solidly behind MAZI NNAMDI KANU. The chains on his wrists are chains on the wrists of every Igbo. He’s the single factor that unifies Ndigbo in this era. That said, when time comes for reckoning of things (good or bad) Ndigbo will remember.

BREAKING: FEBRUARY 8, 2026 MAZI NNAMDI KANU ORDERS TOTAL CANCELLATION OF MONDAY SIT-AT-HOME ACROSS BIAFRALAND The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the supreme leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, hereby announces to the entire world that the Monday sit-at-home across the South-East is officially and permanently cancelled with effect from tomorrow, Monday, February 9, 2026. This directive comes directly from Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu himself, who has once again staked everything on the line to ensure that our children return to school every Monday and that our people go about their lawful businesses without fear, intimidation, or molestation. Any person in doubt should visit Sokoto Correctional Centre to confirm with him. We can no longer hide under, "Onyendu cannot be reached to confirm" to persist with our recalcitrance or docility. Monday sit-at-home is over. That era is gone! There is now no need, excuse, or justification for anyone to stay at home on Mondays. All markets, schools, offices, transport services, and economic activities must resume fully and normally from tomorrow. This is the clear and unequivocal order of the Supreme Leader of IPOB. Onyendu has made it abundantly clear that any individual or group attempting to enforce sit-at-home from this moment forward is acting against his direct command. Such persons are enemies of our people and the Biafran cause. They will be pursued to the ends of the earth and confronted until they are completely defeated. We are aware that enemies of Biafra may attempt false-flag operations designed to create fear, stage attacks, or intimidate our people into staying indoors. Let it be known that any person or group identified as enforcing or enabling sit-at-home will be confronted wherever they are. Our people must remain vigilant, calm, and law-abiding. At the same time, IPOB wishes to make it clear that no state governor has the right to threaten, demolish, or forcibly shut down the businesses of traders who, out of conscience, choose to sit at home in solidarity with our leader. Any attempt by Governor Soludo or any other governor to intimidate our people with demolition threats or forced market closures will be firmly resisted. Furthermore, any renovation, reconstruction, or improvement of markets that involves temporary relocation must be carried out only with the consent of all stakeholders. Adequate temporary trading sites must be provided before any such projects commence. Our enemies have in the past succeeded in instigating crises and planting seeds of discord among our people. We must not allow them to succeed again. We are one people, united by a common destiny. Our struggle is for freedom, dignity, and justice for all, not just for Biafrans. We therefore call on all our people across the South-East to come out tomorrow, open their shops, go to work, and send their children to school without fear. The era of Monday sit-at-home is over. EMMA POWERFUL SPOKESPERSON/MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA (IPOB).

@AloyEjimakor So they should be allowed to continue sabotaging the state economy in the name of sit at home order by a non-state actors? No wonder why you failed to protect his client from going to prison earlier than expected.

This truism from Anambra Police Commissioner should pretty much settle the matter of the #OnitshaMarketClosure. Here, the CP made it clear that the State lacks the vires to “force private citizens not to sit at home”. I might add that it’s not even practical. Simple!

@AloyEjimakor You will see the position of Ndi Anambra State in play from next week. Anambra State through Soludo, wants everything with Sit @ Home done away with. You can go elsewhere to do this but not within our Stateline.

PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ANAMBRA PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN: WE SALUTE YOUR COURAGE — GOVERNOR SOLUDO MUST STOP THREATENING OUR MARKETS The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the supreme leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, sincerely thanks and salutes the great people of Anambra State for today’s peaceful sit-at-home observed in solidarity with our leader. Ndi Anambra have once again shown the world that dignity is more valuable than money, and that sacrifice is sometimes required in the pursuit of justice and freedom. At a time when other ethnic groups in Nigeria openly defend their own and protect their collective interests, Ndị Igbo have continued to demonstrate uncommon courage by demanding the release of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is therefore disappointing and unacceptable that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo—who once visited Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in detention and knows the truth—has chosen to turn around and threaten the same people he swore to protect, merely to impress Abuja interests that have never prioritised the wellbeing of the Igbo race. OPEN YOUR BUSINESSES TOMORROW — IGNORE INTIMIDATION IPOB calls on all law-abiding residents and business owners across Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka to troop out en masse tomorrow and open their shops and markets peacefully. No Governor, even the one aspiring to please his Abuja masters has the power to punish citizens for peacefully exercising their conscience. No administration has the right to weaponise markets against the people. The threats to shut down markets for the rest of the week are not governance—they are intimidation, and Ndi Anambra must not surrender their rights to fear. Any entity preventing the opening of our markets on Tuesday will have something greater than them to contend with.  SOLUDO SHOULD CAMPAIGN FOR MAZI NNAMDI KANU’S RELEASE, NOT FIGHT HIS OWN PEOPLE Governor Soludo must understand that the sit-at-home remains what it has always been: a civil disobedience and silent protest against injustice. If Governor Soludo understands democracy, he should know that democracy is not measured by intimidation, task forces, or threats. Democracy is measured by respect for the freedom of thought, conscience, and lawful protest. Ndi Anambra have shown honour and courage. But Governor Soludo has regrettably shown that he is prepared to trade the people’s dignity for political convenience. THE ERA OF WARRANT CHIEFS IS OVER We are not slaves in our ancestral land. The era of warrant chiefs enforcing colonial interests against their own people is long gone. Anambra people will not be ruled by threats and blackmail. Governor Soludo will not remain in office forever. The day he leaves office, history will judge his choices—and the people will remember who stood with them and who stood against them. OUR POSITION REMAINS CLEAR The solution is straightforward: Release Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Until that is done, the demand for justice will not disappear. We urge all Ndị Igbo to remain peaceful, disciplined and focused. This struggle is moral, lawful and historic—and intimidation will not stop a people determined to be free.
