Sources tell us a violent incident unfolded in the Times Square area late last night involving a group of teens who regularly congregate in the location and a homeless man who was sleeping on a bench.
According to the information provided, the situation escalated after the teens allegedly threw a cup of urine at the man while he was asleep. The man then reportedly woke up and confronted the group, which quickly turned into a physical altercation.
Sources say the teens then produced multiple knives during the fight and stabbed the man several times in the chest and back. After the attack, the group fled the scene. The homeless man was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Investigators reportedly recovered a knife a few blocks away from the scene. The suspects are said to have fled by train, and no arrests have been announced at this time.
