Last night on Power & Politics Robert Fife calls what Danielle Smith did utter madness. Claiming no one will want to invest now in Alberta. He then goes on to call the separatists “MAGA separatists” & Smith is playing footsie with them. So Danielle is supposed to ignore the will of the people & democracy because of investments & the fact that Fife doesn’t like the separatists. Gotcha.

This is yet another example of how CBC newsrooms no longer practice objective journalist standards. You admit you have a letter but won’t release the names of the signatories because the signatories want the contents out but not their names… which means the news outlet is aiding political strategy / objectives as opposed to public interest and transparency.
There used to be a time when anonymous sources were used incredibly sparingly, basically only in cases where a source was at risk of serious harm or if national security would be compromised.

I put in a heat pump two years ago and my local utility wouldn’t give me another 200 amp panel in my garage/apartment because they didn’t have transformer capacity. So, tell me, how is everyone switching to electric when they don’t have the power supply.
