Deathbeds. Some thoughts. A thread. Most of us haven't seen somebody die in real life. We get our inner pictures from TV dramas, cinema screens, media stories. We've had more of those media stories than usual during Covid19. But we haven't been there for real. 1/n

I spend so much time talking abt Overdose Prevention Centres & the benefits like HIV & Hep C eradication, less infections, less deaths that sometimes I forget one of the core benefits that I learnt was that it can be the 1st time some people have ever felt anyone cared.

Asking 'What Matters To You?' of patients and families is a simple but effective tool to encourage person-centred care. Asking 'What Matters to You?' of our team mates/colleagues helps encourage kind teamwork, where everyone feels valued and listened to. Happy #wmty22 day!
