Isiaka Adeleke was a Senator and Governor of Osun state. Demola Adeleke was a senator and governor. Davido is also preparing to be something. Are the Adelekes the only family in Osun state? Osun state was not created for their family. They should rest and let Osun state coffers rest.

@OgbeniDipo With due respect, you are in a wrong party. Beside, you are not on ground in osun State. Before 12 noon on Aug. 15, Adeleke would have won with landslide. Dont be deceived, he has touched lives here, and we all bear witness. Ambo will not even win a unit in Odeomu.

Don’t let anyone deceive you. Governor Adeleke will not see draw in Osun. He will be voted out on 15th August 2026. He is gone. And he knows it. Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji is competent and capable; he will defeat Adeleke hands down!

Today, I want to sincerely apologize to all members and stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for my role in conspiring with my cousin, Nafi’u Bala Gombe, in actions that contributed to the crisis and instability within our great party while serving as the National Youth Leader of his faction. What I did was wrong, and I fully acknowledge that. The most important thing now is that I have realized my mistakes, accepted responsibility, and made the decision never to be part of such actions again. Growth comes with accountability, and I believe admitting one’s wrongs is the first step toward making things right. I also want to extend my heartfelt apologies to respected leaders and stakeholders of our party, including David Mark, Babachir Lawal, Atiku Abubakar, Abubakar Malami, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Rotimi Amaechi, and many others who have continued to stand for peace, truth, and the unity of the ADC. I am grateful that they accepted my apology and advised me to always stand on the side of truth and never again conspire with anyone to undermine the progress of the party or the democratic process. After careful reflection, I have aligned myself with the faction led by Senator David Mark because it represents the legitimate and truthful path forward for the ADC. Nafi’u Bala himself knows, just as I do, that he resigned from his position as Deputy National Chairman of the ADC. Going forward, I am committed to playing a positive role in resolving this crisis. There will be a major development from me very soon, and by the grace of God, I will be among those who will help bring this ADC problem to an end once and for all. I also seek forgiveness from all Nigerians who may have been disappointed by my actions and involvement with Nafi’u Bala Gombe. I have learned valuable lessons from this experience, and I am choosing the path of peace, truth, and unity. May God guide us all and strengthen our democracy. — Hon. Sultan Ahmed Bello, Former National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Yesterday I said Governor Ademola Adeleke will be voted out on 15th August 2026. I saw hundreds of paid trolls all over my TL. I did not take a single offence at their tweets. I want to urge those of them based in OSUN to support & vote for AMBO. AMBO will win, because he is more competent, capable and determined to govern Osun. AMBO will help to create better jobs for young people in Osun. He will invest in skills development. Ere To. Ise Ya. Join us. Support AMBO! Ese o!

@afterthedance_ But I guess Oyetola is from Iragbiji, and ruled the State for 4 years. Why couldn't he fix it? Isn't it ironic that he left the road undone right in his domain and you are blaming Adeleke for that? Bro, this must be a propaganda, and does not add up at all.

This is not a rural path. This is a state road in Iragbiji, Boripe LGA. Under Adeleke, there is no difference. Three years. Zero repairs. We drove it. We documented it. Share it. August 2026 — vote for a better administration in Osun. #AfterTheDance #OsunDecides #osun2026

Today, I paid a condolence visit to the family of late Kolade Eluyera, who was tragically killed in Irewole Local Government in the early hours of today. During the visit, I expressed my heartfelt sorrow over the painful incident and strongly condemned the growing wave of political violence and insecurity in our communities. The killing is deeply disturbing, unacceptable, and a serious threat to the peace, unity, and democratic values we hold dearly as a people. The killing of Kolade Eluyera cannot be treated as a mere coincidence, especially considering the fact that he was likely to serve as the Accord Party polling unit agent in the ATILE unit, where the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, is a registered voter. He had previously served as a PDP agent in the same unit and was known for his firmness and uncompromising stance during elections. Political mandates should come through the freely expressed will of the people, not through violence, intimidation, or the spilling of innocent blood in pursuit of power. I sympathized with the bereaved family and prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul. I also prayed that Almighty God grants the family the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this painful and irreparable loss. I called on security agencies to carry out a thorough, unbiased, and transparent investigation into the incident and ensure that everyone connected to this unfortunate act is brought to justice without delay. I also reaffirmed my commitment to the protection of lives and property across Osun West and urged residents to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding despite the provocation and tension surrounding the incident. May the soul of Kolade Eluyera rest in perfect peace.

Main resolution at the National Convention of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC): The presidential ticket of the party has been zoned to the South and will return to the North after four years. This is a solid sacrifice for national unity. A New Nigeria is POssible.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Where we are, national unity is no longer optional; it is a national necessity. We must rise above ethnicity, religion, region, and political divisions to recover the soul of our nation. With unity and effective leadership, Nigeria can become a productive and prosperous nation once again. We must deliberately support agriculture and manufacturing so they become the highest contributors to our Gross Domestic Product. Special strategic attention must be given to unlocking the enormous agricultural potential of Northern Nigeria and connecting it to industrial production across the federation. We must move decisively from a nation of consumption to a nation of production. We can no longer afford policies that foreclose our youth. With competent, compassionate and transformative leadership, we can defeat insecurity, reduce corruption, create jobs, tame inflation, improve education, and restore hope to millions of Nigerians. Our youths must no longer be viewed as problems to manage, but as assets to empower. Our women must no longer be neglected, but included as equal partners in nation-building. I remain convinced that a new Nigeria is possible, a Nigeria that is united, secure, productive, inclusive, and governed by justice and fairness. Let us therefore move forward with courage, with unity, and with our collective resolve. -PO

Very soon, the crisis between the Nafi’u Bala Gombe faction and the David Mark-led faction will finally come to an end. After deep reflection and careful consideration, I have decided to bring this entire saga to a close for the good of our country. Nafi’u Bala and I had an understanding that once this case reached the Supreme Court, he would either resign or align with the David Mark-led faction, because both of us knew he had already resigned from his position. Unfortunately, that agreement was not honored. As a result, I have decided that this week I will reveal everything that happened during my time as the National Youth Leader of his faction. I can no longer continue living under threats from Nafi’u Bala Gombe. I am tired. Nigeria deserves peace, stability, and honest leadership above personal interests and political games. To my fellow Nigerians, I sincerely apologize for my role in conspiring with Nafi’u Bala. I deeply regret my actions and take full responsibility for them. History will judge us all, but I believe it is never too late to choose what is right. — Hon. Sultan Ahmed Bello Former National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)

@ManLikeIcey Much as your assertion form the begining was valid, your concussion is not valid. What makes Atiku the one to step down, and not Obi? Emotions does not buy votes. Opposition will only succeed with mutual respect & understanding. 'Obi or nothing' does not solve the problem!

Two opposition parties working separately gives Tinubu an advantage to victory. Makes no sense to have two opposition against the incumbent. Now that Atiku and Peter Obi won’t be on the ballot together. It’s only right for Atiku to step aside and support Peter Obi.

I love the consistency. You left the crisis in the LP, joined an ADC led by PDP legends like David Mark and Atiku Abubakar, and now you’re rescuing Nigeria by joining Seriake Dickson, Kwankwaso in the NDC? It’s not personal ambition, yet you seem to change parties faster than the price of fuel. Is it a 'New Nigeria' we are building, or just a 'New Acronym' every six months?

"The condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria, informed my decision to leave ADC for NDC." Yesterday, I formally joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside my dear brother, Engr. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, with one clear purpose: to continue the struggle for a new Nigeria built on justice, competence, accountability, and compassion for the ordinary Nigerian. As I stated yesterday, this decision was not made out of anger, personal ambition, or convenience. It came after deep reflection on the present condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from the dangerous path it is currently heading. Over the years, I have remained steadfast in my conviction that politics should never be about individuals, positions, or personal gain. It must be about the people, especially the millions of Nigerians who today can no longer afford necessities, whose businesses are collapsing, whose children are losing hope, and whose future is becoming increasingly uncertain. I left the ADC for the same reason I left the Labour Party: the severe, orchestrated litigation and internal crises deliberately designed to ensure that I, alongside many other notable individuals, do not effectively participate in the electoral process. I sincerely appreciate and remain deeply grateful to the Leadership of ADC for the opportunity to work together in pursuit of a better Nigeria. I am particularly grateful to ADC Chairman Senator David Mark for his exceptional Leadership. I also deeply appreciate my Leader and elder brother YE, Atiku Abubakar, as well as other respected leaders within the party. As we join the NDC, I sincerely appeal to the Nigerian Government against the encouragement of unresolved litigations and the infusion of crises within political parties. Democracy must never become a weapon against the people. A healthy democracy thrives on strong institutions, credible alternatives, and the freedom of citizens to make choices without intimidation, manipulation, or fear. Opposition parties must not be weakened or destroyed, because when democracy loses balance, the people ultimately suffer. Nigeria today is passing through one of the most difficult periods in its history. Poverty is rising. Hunger is widespread. Insecurity continues to threaten lives and livelihoods. Businesses are shutting down daily. Our young people are becoming discouraged, and many citizens have lost faith in the system. At a time like this, leadership must be driven not by propaganda or division, but by competence, capacity, character, and compassion. Our decision to join the NDC is therefore not an abandonment of values, but a continuation of the same mission we have always stood for: building a Nigeria where leadership is about service, where public resources are managed responsibly, where institutions function independently, and where every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, religion, region, or social status, can live with dignity, security, and hope. I remain committed to working with all Nigerians of goodwill across political, ethnic, and religious lines. The task before us is bigger than any individual or political party. It is about the future of our children and the survival of our dear nation. I thank Nigerians, especially our youths and women, for remaining peaceful, resilient, and hopeful despite the enormous challenges confronting the country. I urge you not to lose faith in Nigeria. Nations do not change because people surrender to hopelessness; they change because people continue to believe, continue to sacrifice, and continue to stand for what is right. A new Nigeria is still POssible. -PO

My worst fears have happened. I told you guys that the moment ADC goes their separate ways , it will be goodnight for their dreams. I write this with pains in my heart because I have invested so much emotional and intelligent capital on Obi but I must face reality. It's going to be another 4 years of suffering for the great Nigerian people under this man . The ego of the people you call leaders have gotten in the way and now you'll be stuck with Tinubu for the next 4 years. In the coming days , you will see social media waves and trends and crowds everywhere for Obi and Kwankwaso but it won't materialize when the real game is played from ward to ward. That's the reality . That is why they needed to bond together but they refused. My worst fears have happened. SAVE THIS POST . Tino ✍️ #Tinosbullet

One day, we will have to tell ourselves the hard truth. How often do we talk about the role Atiku has played in weakening the opposition? Time and again, his approach to opposition politics has raised questions, especially choosing to run for presidency again after 8 years of a Northerner Before then let us be pilling the blame on Peter Obi. An innocent Southerner who just want to run because its the turn of his region.
