Red-flag laws remove one of our most basic constitutional protections: due process. Child Protection Services already had the authority to protect Baby Benji. The failure was internal. Expanding government power is not the same thing as fixing government failure.

The Idaho House voted 41–27–2 to strengthen cooperation with ICE. The bill requires Idaho law enforcement agencies to apply to partner with ICE through the 287(g) program, helping identify and transfer removable offenders in local jails. Despite strong support in the House, Pro Tem Kelly Anthon sent the bill to Senate State Affairs, where it is unlikely to receive a hearing. Rep. @clintforidaho lays out why this bill matters. Idaho should cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. Contact the Chair of Senate State Affairs, Senator Jim Guthrie, at 208-332-1326 and ask him to give H659 a hearing.

As your Senator representing LD8, which includes MHAFB, I will gather as many facts as I can before sharing an opinion. There are a lot of rumors, some true, some not. I will make a statement once I have properly vetted the available information. To that end, my legislative colleagues and I have submitted this letter requesting a briefing with Secretary Hegseth.

We’ve tried to have real conversations with you, but you just keep trolling. If you actually want to talk, call me or DM me and we’ll set a time. Let’s handle it like adults, not by trading shots online. A lot of people worked hard to get solid conservatives elected. They sent us to Boise to fight for them, not with each other. You can disagree with our tactics, but taking constant shots at your own side doesn’t help. Reagan had it right…don’t speak ill of another Republican. You keep trying to stir up a fight, but we’re not going to engage. Our focus is where it should be, cutting spending, saying no to federal strings, and defending Idaho families. You work with allies across the country, so why knock us for doing the same? The House Freedom Caucus has been one of the most effective conservative forces in Washington. Why wouldn’t we want something like that in Idaho? Our director, Maria Nate, has spent nearly her whole life in Idaho politics. She isn’t controlled by D.C. operatives, and neither are we. It’s laughable to suggest otherwise. What we gain from the State Freedom Caucus Network is professional support and a connection to solid conservative groups so we can do our jobs better. What is Senator Zito trying to hide from Idaho? I asked two questions: one about their budget pledge and why they didn't keep it (although, they say they did, they did not), and the other about her Washington D.C. handlers. She deleted both of my comments from her blog. And by doing so, her priorities became crystal clear: protect Washington DC handlers at all costs! Blocking users is standard (and frankly, I love to block and don't do it nearly enough) but I never delete comments. So When Senator Zito deleted my legitimate questions about her DC network ties, she erased the conversation so other Idahoans couldn't see what was really going on. Here's what she doesn't want you to know: some of us understand exactly how these DC networks operate. In fact, the Idaho Freedom Caucus (@freedomcaucusID) was part of that same SFCN Washington D.C. network until the DC guys attempted a total takeover in 2024 and we told them to pound sand! When a senator deletes comments, it suggests she knows exactly what kind of examination her relationships can't survive. The pattern is telling: questions about Washington DC network ties from informed officials get deleted, then the questioner gets blocked. Idaho voters should ask what these networks really involve when even informed questions trigger such aggressive concealment.
