Dealing with pain/fatigue and other assorted crap everyday is hard enough. It genuinely costs more to engage with the world when disabled than anyone actually gets. They'd be better off increasing support so people like me can keep working. We keep the economy alive by spending.

Genuinely worried about the changes to disability "benefits" (necessities, let's be real). Employers don't want employees that need to be part-time for health reasons and being disabled costs a fortune for medical bits, mobility aids and extra costs of travel etc.

Honestly wish we had the stadium like this more for the lasses. Put us in St James regularly and people will come! It was amazing to see the crowd today. The lasses should be playing here regularly, not shoved off into tiny stadiums elsewhere. Beating Sunderland 1-0 was top.

No. There is a benefit called “Personal Independent Payment” (PIP) that disabled and unwell people can apply for, it’s ridiculously hard to get and the application process is dehumanising to say the least. Part of that benefit can be used to pay monthly for a LEASED car.. 1/2

So if I lose my car and PIP, how am I meant to pay for getting to work and hospital appointments when I have to also pay for things like mobility aids, a travel thermos for my refrigerated injections, tens machine pads (and new machines when it dies), heart monitor etc? 🙃

Guys, don't be like the rude people in the comments here. I don't often use my wheelchair now, I try and use my crutches or stick to get about, so now I don't look like I have disabilities that could quite happily kill me. Motability means I can work and live and go places.

@Gemjam42069 @saltburnbysea Yeah that's false. PIP is what people get to help with the extra costs of being disabled. If you have severe mobility issues, you can qualify for a motability car and the money for it is taken from your PIP allowance. So it's not free and its to help people who struggle to walk.

@iph0ne @saltburnbysea Good job no one does that then. You have to have severe mobility restrictions/chronic physical disability to qualify for a motability car. And even then the money for it is taken from the individuals PIP allowance, which they were given to cover the extra costs of disabilities.

Super excited to be back in uni tomorrow after too long off pneumonia. That was definitely not a fun time, do not recommend. Apparently it'll be at least 3-6 months for my lungs to fix up 🙃 I just want to be back to normal or at least as normal as I get!
