@tobyasky Noni brings a spark?
Which spark is that? 😂😂😂😂😂
He’s not even a spark in his Arsenal team.
All you wrote is apt, except Noni of course.
English

I tell you what, Tuchel has just exhibited the highest level of boldness in football.
He dropped Foden and Palmer for who they are, this looks like a difficult and an easy decision at the same time.
He dropped Wharton who has had an amazing season and currently in the Conference league final, a different profile, but maybe similar to Mainoo.
Morgan Gibbs White who has got the highest goal contributions of all English players in the league.
Maguire who's equally doing well and has been a very important part of this squad over the years, but you could argue he has not been regular or had a great season.
James Garner who he has been psyching, attending Everton games, gave him his debut earlier this year and showed belief in him, yet he's dropped him.
On the flip side, he has taken John Stones who hasn't even played regularly and injured all through, but but, every team needs such player for the experience they bring, but why not Maguire? You can argue.
He's also taken Jordan Henderson for same reason as Stones.
Ivan Toney has got over 40 goal-contributions this season, and Tuchel is definitely not overlooking that, even if its in Saudi League, a very brave decision. I would have loved Welbeck as that 3rd striker.
Noni Madueke would be the player on everyone's lips, why him? I'll tell you guys something. There's a spark Madueke brings, nobody else has that. He's that sub that can change any game, like he did in that difficult West Ham game just few weeks ago, you need such players for "Tournament" football.
No doubt about the rest attackers, they were expected.
Djed Spence is another question mark, but he can play both full back positions, a tough guy to beat, same with Tino. Trent is a good argument, but you can also argue he's not done well this season. Jude hasn't also, but Jude is Jude, you cannot overlook Jude in tournament football, a player that crashes the box, you cannot. Its crazy that you can make a case for each of Tuchel's appointment.
This time last year, Lewis-Skelly was tipped to be the number one left back for England, he was having the greatest season ever, then boom, he was 3rd choice this season, and he fell off. Nico O'Reilly on the other hand has been phenomenal this season. We all know who to blame for MLS.
Lastly, my biggest happiness on this list is Kobbie Mainoo, Amorim almost ruined this fella, but all thanks to Carrick. Such a talent that would have gone under the radar.
All in all, Tuchel is brave, dropping those big names, the list is a solid one based on merit, bar Stones and Henderson, who are also needed for other reasons, even if they're not going to play regular.
Your thoughts?

It’s official. Your #ThreeLions players heading to the @FIFAWorldCup! 🏆

@FBlanks1 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Internal democracy was absence for 12 years while he was a member of the assembly?
Funny!
English

This here is the reason patriotic Nigerians must vote out the APC. A party that doesn’t believe in internal democracy should not be allowed near power
CHUKS 🍥@ChuksEricE
“In all zones, they have been intimidating and stopping us. I want to officially announce my withdrawal from this particular race.” — Hon. Desmond Elliot officially withdraws from the Lagos State House of Assembly APC primaries for Surulere Constituency I.
English

@Oluomoofderby It is always sweet when oppression doesn’t favour.
People have been asked to step down for him before now, no fuss.
It got to his turn to do the same, he grew resistance!
I love when Cannibals attack themselves.
English

Nothing concern APC with free and fair elections.
It’s more about grab it, snatch it, and run with it.
Just look at how they are treating one another, it’s honestly unbelievable.
OBIANUJUAKU@HRH_Ujuaku
Disgraced and rejected. Shame cos you had the opportunity to withdraw earlier with a little dignity but you’ve lost all
English

@Imranmuhdz Late game. He should have withdrew beer he lost. Retired from local politics disgracefully.
English

@Letter_to_Jack OGD didn’t participate in the primaries, still has 398.
Some people from Dayo Abiodun’s camp snitched!
😂😂😂😂😂
English

@Pamilerin Since we all want to be woke.
So everyone should quote the negative tweet about his family and keep tweeting?
There were other tweets made by him that weren’t worthy of his person.
But it is past now, let’s forgive and move on?

Go to school, you said no.. did you miss this ““ ”” 🤣🤣🤣 your school fees just waste

SENATOR @ShehuSani: The most qualified candidate to Represent Kaduna Central in the Senate in 2027
By Comrade Abba Abiyos Roni.
This is a defining moment for the people of Kaduna Central. As we prepare for the 2027 elections, it is time to rally behind the one leader who has consistently proven his worth: Senator Shehu Sani.
A fearless champion of human rights, a tireless fighter against oppression, and a passionate defender of democracy, Senator Sani has dedicated his entire life to the service of the people. From 2015 to 2019, while representing Kaduna Central, he became a powerful voice for the voiceless in the Senate. He boldly speaks out against insecurity in Birnin Gwari, the Kaduna–Abuja highway, and the neighboring states of Zamfara, Katsina, and Sokoto.
His courage and unwavering commitment often put him at odds with those in power, ultimately costing him his seat. Yet, by the grace of Almighty God, this courageous son of the soil has returned — stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.
What sets Senator Shehu Sani apart is his inclusive spirit. He does not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnicity, or status. He treats Islamic and Christian scholars with equal respect, uplifts the youth, supports students, and cares deeply for people with special needs. He is a unifying figure in a deeply divided society.
Beyond advocacy, his developmental footprint remains legendary. Between 2015 and 2019, he delivered tangible dividends of democracy across Kaduna Central:
•Built and equipped hospitals to improve healthcare access
•Provided water projects to communities long neglected
•Installed solar street lights and distributed transformers to boost electricity supply
•Established a major vocational training centre in Rigasa
•Empowered women with skills and capital for self-reliance
•Created job opportunities and gave startup capital to hundreds of youths
•Distributed motorcycles, vehicles, and business support to young entrepreneurs
•Purchased houses for orphans and donated one to the Women Teachers’ Association
•Built mosques, Islamiyya schools, and supported numerous Islamic educational institutions across the state
These are just a few of his many achievements. The full list would fill volumes.
Among all those aspiring to represent Kaduna Central, none matches Senator Shehu Sani in education, experience, charity, integrity, and genuine commitment to the people.
He is not just a politician — he is a movement, a voice of conscience, and a proven performer.
I therefore call on every son and daughter of Kaduna Central — regardless of party, faith, or background — to come out in full force and support Senator Shehu Sani during the APC primaries and beyond.
Let us give him the mandate to return to the Senate and continue delivering quality representation, meaningful development, and fearless advocacy for our people.
Senator Shehu Sani is the only Senator representing the masses in National Assembly. Together, let us write a new, brighter chapter for Kaduna Central with Senator Shehu Sani in 2027.

@Pharmacio001 I don’t understand the hate on this guy.
If my dad was a former president, I will ride on his popularity to win elections.
Wait for time to evaluate his performance, then you can criticise.
How can you criticise someone who hasn’t even taken oath of office?
English

@instablog9ja People actually come online and tell private businesses how much to pay employees?
It is different if you are an MSc holder and was offered 100k.
You were offered contracts and you accepted? You worked and collected salary.
I don’t get the rants. Please make me understand!
English

@ManLikeIcey So if you loose either stay and help the party or go home to your families 😂😆
English

@ChelseaFC @_mofresh Whatever you do Alonso,
Your first decision as a Manager is to make sure Tosin, Lavia, and Badiashile never return to Chelsea from holiday.
We will sell the rest before August.
Thank you.

@crystalabeeke @Achilles0055199 @Bayo_Bilisi I am not shading you tbh.
I stayed in that LGA and I know somethings. Pepperito days and all.
That Woman representing Kosofe is not loyal to all but a few.
I really hope things change for better.
English

@Achilles0055199 @_BraynLagos @Bayo_Bilisi Exactly. Mayor is the best man for the job. I pray he continues his work at the federal level.
English

It was common sense election to the honest. Mayor Osinowo has always been on our side here on X defending Yoruba interests. Mayor and Ridwan (SA to Gov Sanwo Olu) - I hold both of them in high esteem. They play 100% local politics and NEVER pander.
The other former PDP lady I hear was not even accessible to the grassroots. Then the moment Ogunlewe (LG chairman that loves to pander) started supporting her, I knew her fate was sealed.
Mayor Dele Oshinowo@HonMayorDele
Declared! Thank you Kosofe 💜💜 It’s about to be a good ride.
English

@crystalabeeke @Achilles0055199 @Bayo_Bilisi Agboyi is not the only area in Kosofe.
I hope you know that.
English

@Achilles0055199 @Bayo_Bilisi Mayor Osinowo has worked in Agboyi so well. In fact, his work speaks for him and it will be delusional if his opponent thinks they were going to win when he’s contesting. If I were still in Agboyi, I would definitely vote for him.

@umadecave @XiiithJeph @imran_services If law making needs experience, then raise the bar for qualifications.
BSc, MSc in fields related to law making or more.
Majority go in uneducated or with SSCE which is the requirement.
Isn’t that the easiest way?
You don’t need 20 years to make impact if you are learned.
English

@XiiithJeph @imran_services And when you start seeing jamboree laws been passed you will complain... the framers of our law made it so in consonant with American law. Experience matters in law making
English

After 23 years in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Speaker Hon. Mudasiru Obasa has now emerged as APC candidate for Agege Federal Constituency in the House of Reps.
He is now moving from Lagos State politics to Abuja.
Obasa is one of the longest-serving members of the Lagos Assembly, and likely the longest-serving Speaker.
He started active politics in 1999 when he became councillor at 27 and served till 2003. In 2003, he became a member of the House of Assembly representing Agege Constituency I, and he has been there ever since.
He came into politics with a School Cert and later got his Law degree from LASU in 2006 while still serving as a lawmaker at about age 34.
At 54, if he wins the election, he may still stay in Abuja as Rep member for another 8 years or more. After that, he may probably be eyeing Senate or nursing governorship ambition.
This kind of long stay in power is what people have recently been raising questions about. It's not different from military era of Babangida and Abacha who would have love to remain head of state forever if not coup and death.
You find same in many African countries. A president always going for office and has been in power for 30yrs or more.
In Nigeria, thank God for tenure limitations for some offices like Governors and Presidency, our democracy would become worst because we may have had probably a president or two since 1999, or some state governors not wanting to leave again. This is what the legislators are enjoying.
For the governors, the alternative is to port to Senate after 8 years as governor.
With this vicious cycle of power, It makes people ask if there is really space for young people to come in.
Power should rotate and shift. That's fairness. New people should also have chance to serve. If young people come out, they are told to wait and queue for years, then you ask till when??
I'm happy about this Obasa exit from Lagos Assembly atleast, this may finally give room for new faces in Agege who may have been queuing for more than 10 years or more.
I wish him all the best at the green chamber.
