I have been using my Nigerian phone numbers (+234) since I relocated to Austria many years ago. This is my usual practice, even when I visited Nigeria recently.
I recharge NGN1,000 every six months and then call a family member using that amount. My phone number remains active. Alternatively, you can use MTN or Airtel to keep your number active.
MTN allows you to pay a small fee to keep your line active for up to 3 years, even if you don't use it.
1 Year: Dial *305*1# (costs ₦400)
2 Years: Dial *305*2# (costs ₦800)
3 Years: Dial *305*3# (costs ₦1,200)
2. AIRTEL
Airtel protects your line from disconnection for up to 1 year.
1 Year: Dial *121*5*2# (costs ₦500)
Hope this helps!

10 superstitions I found interesting in South Korea 🇰🇷
1. Sleeping with an electric fan on overnight can supposedly kill you (“fan death”).
2. Writing someone’s name in red ink is considered bad luck because it symbolizes death.
3. The number 4 is often avoided because its pronunciation sounds similar to the word for “death.” That’s why some elevators use “F” instead of 4.
4. Whistling at night is believed to attract ghosts or snakes.
5. Dreams are taken surprisingly seriously — some people even use dream interpretations to choose lottery numbers.
6. Moving houses or starting important events on “lucky dates” is still common for many people.
7. Giving shoes as gifts can symbolize the person “walking away” from you.
8. Cutting nails at night was traditionally believed to attract evil spirits or bad luck.
9. Certain numbers, zodiac signs, and blood types are believed by some people to influence personality and compatibility.
10. Seeing certain dreams — like pigs — is considered a sign of incoming wealth or good fortune.

If u start your car in the morning and it takes time to start or after driving a while your vehicle loses power and doesn’t accelerate properly your fuel pump is the problem.
AC Not Cooling Well?
Check and replace cabin air filter
Dirty filter = weak airflow + bad smell
Brake Failure Emergency Trick
Pump brake pedal quickly
Downshift (manual) or use handbrake slowly
Aim for soft surfaces if needed
Clean Foggy Headlights Cheaply
Use toothpaste + cloth to scrub headlights
Rinse and wipe → improves brightness instantly
This one works perfectly
If Your Car Overheats Suddenly
Turn off your AC immediately and turn heater ON (it pulls heat away from engine)
Pull over and wait before opening the radiator
Never pour cold water into a hot engine (can crack it)
Remove Bad Smell from Car
Sprinkle baking soda on seats/carpet → leave overnight → vacuum
Charcoal also absorbs odors naturally
Know This Dashboard Trick
That small arrow beside fuel icon ⛽ shows which side your tank is on
Saves embarrassment at fuel stations 😄
Lastly
Always listen to your car
New sound = early warning
Fixing small issues early saves big money later

Following the unbelievable impact of that simple tweet on unlocking carrier-locked phones, which saved thousands in Nigeria and Ghana, I’m tempted to throw out a challenge: Everyone drop one life hack that could genuinely help others. What’s that one hack you know? Kindly share.
