Huh, it turns out that the “Darkness” was actually “Wokeness” 🤔

Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

According to Mewtwo’s info page, it will cost 7,500 Mewtwo Mega Energy to Mega Evolve to each form of Mega Mewtwo in Pokémon GO. According to dataminers, it will then cost 150 Mega Energy after the first. The holding Mega Energy cap for Mewtwo will be 50,000 instead of 10,000.

At its best, content was a machine to create memories and friendships. No new content stings. This pain is about losing a place where so many memories were made. It stings not because of what it was, but the realization of what it won't be.

its simple corpo slimedroid behavior - execs negotiate buyback from activision - start a bunch of new projects as anl newly indie studio, signals vitality to the megacorps - execs start to shop themselves around to a buyer - "we have a premiere live service title and look how many projects we have on the works guys, we're gonna be worth so much in x years when they release you should buy us now for (value projected based on future revenue) and reap the reward!" - megacorp takes the bait, in this case sony - old execs get massive payout in aqcuisition, to be paid out after a set time - turns out the projects were either vaporware or way out beyond the scope of what they could actually achieve - old execs stay on, viciously cutting costs and firing people to keep the revenue stream sasifsctory to guarantee that payout - payout hits, old execs dip and swap in new leadership to be left holding the bag - new team manages to spit one of the projects out out, likely out of contratcual obligation - its actually half decent, but doesnt recoup losses or hit mass appeal, leaving the conglomerate and new leaderhsip is left holding the bag while whats left of the company will be restructured to recoup as much as possible for sony
