Mohammad Rizwan was heavily criticised just a few days ago, with widespread demands for him to step aside and make way for younger players. Now, many of the same people are showing sympathy for him after he was left out of Pakistan’s ODI squad for the Australia series. This only shows that the majority of those commenting on Pakistan cricket are more interested in topics that generate headlines and attention rather than providing genuine analysis of the game. Very few actually assess Pakistan cricket with consistency, balance, and true understanding.

News is circulating that the PCB has no plans to install a roof at Qaddafi Stadium in the near future. If the PCB is not going to upgrade its stadiums and provide better facilities for fans, then who is going to come to the stadium to watch the game? How does the PCB expect fans to attend and watch longer-format games played during the day in unbearable heat?

Mike Hesson, you have lost the trust of Pakistan cricket fans. They no longer believe a word you say because your press conferences and podcast appearances are always full of hope and promises, yet you have produced no positive results to back up those optimistic statements. Personally, I have serious doubts about your coaching credentials. You seem to lack the ability to identify a player’s true potential, and if a coach cannot recognize talent, how can they properly develop and improve it? I do not think you are the right fit for Pakistan cricket. No one expected you to win a major trophy in a short period of time, but many believed you could at least put Pakistan’s white-ball cricket back on track. Unfortunately, during your tenure, the team has declined even further. Fans have now lost hope because your methods and plans have failed miserably.

Some people are blaming Mohammad Rizwan for the defeat against India in the ICC Champions Trophy and are using his strike rate to support their argument. But they are ignoring the main fact: Pakistan lost the match because of Aqib Javed’s pathetic team selection. How can you play an ICC event with only one specialist opener and one spinner?

Mike Hesson is the most incompetent and clueless coach Pakistan cricket has ever had.

Mohammad Amir has received his British passport, and everyone is excited about the prospect of him playing in the Indian Premier League in the near future. I personally would love to see it happen and wish him the very best of luck. However, the reality may be different. Although he now holds British citizenship, his strong Pakistani roots could make IPL franchises hesitant to sign him.

If the players are not performing and are failing to win matches for Pakistan, then why has the management continued selecting them for the past four or five years? You rightly pointed out that we have failed in several ICC events, but after each tournament, has the PCB ever conducted a thorough review to identify the real reasons behind those failures? No, they haven’t. It appears that the PCB has made changes to the team only in response to media criticism rather than through proper planning and accountability. The players certainly cannot be given a clean chit because they have not been pulling their weight. However, it is ultimately the PCB that has failed as an institution and severely damaged Pakistan cricket. If the PCB operated the way successful cricket boards around the world do, we would not be in this situation today. The core problem is that the PCB does not truly believe in merit.

Biggest stakeholder of the game 🏏 after country name are players as they play inside the ground. Credit & responsibility wise. Last 4 ICC events results & Test format decline are real. Some serious issues are there to resolve by administration @TheRealPCB

Pakistan’s defeat to Bangladesh is not just the loss of a series; it is a major blow to the country’s honor and dignity. Our cricket has a proud and prestigious history, and these recent results are badly tarnishing that image. Yet it seems that only the fans truly feel the pain of this shameful defeat. They are saddened and shocked that our cricket has declined to such a low level that we are no longer capable of winning consistently. If those sitting at the PCB headquarters shared the same passion and concern that the fans feel, a comeback would still be possible. Unfortunately, that does not seem likely, because the people running the PCB do not appear to value the country’s honor the way the fans do. For them, paychecks come first; the country comes second.

#OnThisDay in 1997, Saeed Anwar played one of the most majestic innings in ODI cricket history, smashing 194 runs off just 146 balls against India in Chennai.🔥🙌
