My info is that Newcastle did make an approach in Jan and were pushing for Rayan to wait for the summer when they had more financial headroom. Bournemouth could offer him a move now, first team football before a World Cup. Sometimes there's not a lot you can do. But he's absolutely the sort of player they have to go for this summer!
