Sick of people pointing me to leave a person, just because someone did some stupid tweet. Make your own opinion about a person. Don't try to force me to do something, just because you hate that person. You can still disagree and do stuff together. I guess hard to be yourself.

@iam_KeyC @FillaneXIV The sad part is that the community that just mods for fun to look cool and the actual gooners overlap quite a bit, and since XIV is kind of an echo chamber in many ways, things tend to be extrapolated to "everyone is a modbeast", which is sad but also just how it goes...

@FillaneXIV Well I agree to some extend. If it's for their own character, I am fine. But getting send pictures of my character where I am basically tits free, because they replaced the chestpiece I use or being told to avoid undergarment, because some people have naked mods.. Thats uncomfy.

@Isabell_0000 @FillaneXIV They never even thought about stuff like that because everyone in Japan plays with near 0 ping due to the country being small, but that isn't really any excuse to not fix it for over 10y at this point, guess I need to be punished for living 9000km away and being a chud I guess.

@_nukrid @FillaneXIV They genuinely believe using shit that alleviates ping and weaving issues is cheating, not an architectural peoblem/limitation that should be circumvented, no that’s ridiculous, just play the game with its interwoven latency issues cause that’s the moral thing to do for company.

I don't even mod my character but if people do, it's their preference, their game and their taste. If I don't sync with them, I will never see it and I can just live my day pressing stuff. I even started to like the mods a little bit because of some funny ones I saw, so I get it. And honestly, the whole German stereotype is tough to avoid, but I know that some people are warmer around there, just like there are some people around here that are anti-fun, it is all personal so you just gotta know people on a personal basis and keep working on it.

Some people just want to talk about how something that's not hurting anyone except their personal preference is weird and than play the victim when those people feel bothered about that judgement. Ironically it seems to be a sentiment many people from my country seem to share. Maybe some stereotypes about Germans are valid

@FillaneXIV The modbeasts actually practice "fantasy racism" by judging people based on the race they use ingame, literally acting like a generic isekai bad guy. It doesn't surprise me they are also negatively judging people who dont wanna make their character look like a vrchat avatar.

You know what's sad? Everytime you see a tweet that simply and politely says they don't like mods that don't look like they belong in the game when it comes to stuff like texture, you then see an entire comment section with hundreds of likes calling your OC ugly. What happened to simply having preferences without needing to insult others?

@FillaneXIV I got called slurs once for saying voice acting sucked and their accents were a complete misrepresentation of how south american people speak, even got questioned on my "credentials" to say so. Maybe I was born here and can say something about how cringe and bad it is, maaaybe.

To elaborate on my previous post - it's OK to not like Wuk Lamat - it's OK to not like Dawntrail - it's OK to not like the quality in voice acting for the English dub (but lets not pretend half of y'all just dont that the VA is trans), cause... I played in German and then replaying in English it was a letdown - it's OK to be happy that her role will be greatly reduced in the future main plotline These are your opinions and it's nobodies place to invalidate them, BUT same goes the other way around too. - Stop insulting people who draw fanart - Stop going after people who like Wuk - Stop going under random posts of people who enjoy dawntrail to invalidate their opinion, or try to ruin their fun Seriously it feels like y'all go out of your way to seek these posts out just to tell people how much you hate it. Let people enjoy a game ffs
