@_yonada agreed, slippery slope where good intentions can quickly turn into something much worse eventually

@karooolis Intervention may have benefits here, but this is fundamentally a Nanny State mindset. This logic can be applied to justify regulation on any scarce good, like Pokemon card ("Fans must have the chance to buy 1st edition Charizard at a fair price...")

@_yonada OT but also why don’t vending machines adjust prices based on outside temperature? as to your original question, as someone who dislikes excessive regulation and touting, not sure. In some instances gov intervention is for the better but it’s a slippery slope

@MatthewJBar They could do useful things, but expecting the relationship to be “trading” is a little optimistic

Why do so many people think that humans don't trade with animals because we're way more powerful than them, rather than because they can't talk or keep agreements? Do they think cats, mice, and ants really couldn't do anything useful for us if we could coordinate with them?
