I think it's fine if they wanna move away from some stuff, but only for a reasonable reason like, maybe they fucked up allowing you to kill giant ass fish with a pocket knife so they're trying to correct their mistake.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO SUBNAUTICA 2.. > be Subnautica 2 developers > player politely asks why you can’t kill most creatures > level designer snaps back: "This is not a killing game, go play Sons of the Forest if you want violence" > another dev adds that big creatures will stay safe because "the game should feel right" The first Subnautica let you stab leviathans with a knife. Now they want you to peacefully coexist with 50-meter monsters like it’s a underwater yoga class. Why do developers treat their most loyal fans like this? Why can’t they just answer normally without being condescending and aggressive? Loyal players are the ones who supported you for years. If you keep talking down to them, they’ll simply stop playing. And in the end, you - the developers - will be the ones who lose the most. Peak "go touch grass" energy in 2026. You think this approach will help the game long-term or are we watching it slowly die?

I think if instead of "This game is PG-13 go away", had the devs said "Bro you shouldn't be able to kill one of the big fellas, you gonna die", no one would be mad.

Leviathans shouldn't be killable, obviously, and there should be no stun gun—

@Kristmaybe Clash power is the safest buff to enemies. Offense power buffs their attack and such as well.
However, if you're playing dodge solo, absolutely take Offense rather thanFinal or Base power, makes a world of a difference since you're not clashing and hopefully not getting hit.

@Lungpaopao It's not due to plot reasons, it's because it sidelines Mon3tr who we just got for a Chapter and a few Side Stories. She needed more time to become a more Kal'tsit-esque figure before we get her back. Rn, she carries Doc around, I guess...

Kaltsit's resurrection was too obvious. She was killed in the middle of Chapter 15, and at the end of Chapter 15, they shoved it right in our face about bringing her back with the sarcophagus. I don't understand why anyone says her resurrection is "illogical"

@MaplePrism It was too fast. Not enough time to feel the loss, imo. Yeah obviously it was gonna happen. But like, I'm bummed that Mon3tr wasn't given more time to replace Kal in the fanbase's collective as the reliable Director before they bring Kal back, but that's just like, my opinion.
