@DanBiancoNYC @EntitledCycling the point is that the the bike lane was placed near the curb with half of it in the gutter. cyclists complained that this would happen but the city didn't care, not to mention the trash that collects there when it isn't raining.

@hearinladotcom I can go from Culver City to Santa Monica for $1.75! Is it your belief that the price is what keeps the middle class from using the bus? Or is it much more likely to be time, comfort and convenience? And, TBF, massive driving subsidies which make driving artificially cheap.

I am unaware of a single country with excellent, high frequency transit where it’s free. Affordable? Yes. Subsidized for special populations? Sure. Free to all? No. Not Japan, Singapore, Australia or Europe. Fare jumpers defund transit and erode public trust. Pay your fare.

i was going to board the westbound @metrolosangeles E line at vermont until i saw the crowds waiting on the platform... and at the USC station, too! 😱😱 so i had to bike back to USC jefferson to guarantee myself a seat. fun times! #USCwisconsinfootball

eventually, i pull up beside it at a stoplight to acknowledge the driver. and she says: "why ain't you riding on the sidewalk? you're going too slow!" 🫤 does she really think i can keep up with vehicles moving at 30mph or more? or does she think i'm an e-bike, which i'm not? 😡

i almost got rear-ended tonite. in the bike lane. by a cyclist "who didn't expect me to stop" at a 4-way stop when there was a car who was there before me. all i heard were brakes screeching and him cursing. i told him to go ahead. and he ran every stop sign after that 😡 1/2
