Deeply saddened by the passing away of former Union Minister, Dr. Debendra Pradhan ji. He played a key role in strengthening our Party in Odisha. I had the opportunity to work with him, when I was the Minister for Highways and Surface Transport in Atalji’s Government. He was a wonderful human being who always focused on the issues of public welfare. He was passionate about strengthening India’s infrastructure sector. Visited the residence of his son and Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji to express my condolences. My thoughts are with the bereaved family. Om Shanti!

South Melbourne Primary school is using evidence-based teaching practices to help more students in the classroom. Great to visit today and to meet with students and staff alongside Indian Education Minister @dpradhanbjp, @joshburnsmp, @BenCarrollMP.

Grateful for the warm welcome accorded by my dear friend Minister @JasonClareMP. Cooperation in education is the fulcrum of India-Australia relationship. Expressed our objective of enhancing the Indian system as a competency-based system, and focus on skills-based education by India’s National Education Policy (NEP). Held productive discussions about shared priorities in early childhood care, capacity building of teachers and explored the possibility of twinning of schools. Building on strong institutional linkages between Indian and Australian higher education institutions, we agreed to further strengthen our partnership in critical and emerging technologies and also discussed possibility of opening branch campuses of Australian universities in India. Also, had the pleasure of meeting the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. @TimWattsMP during these discussions.

Great to visit @RMIT and @MonashUni to see some of the leading technologies being produced by Australian universities.

Took a tour of the Hwa Chong International School to understand and learn more about best practices towards building ‘schools of the future’. Appreciate the schools emphasis on deploying cutting-edge technologies like AI to enhance student experiences, strengthen learning outcomes and draw out the strengths, talents and creative pursuits of each student. Found several similarities in our NEP and the curriculum, pedagogy and the student development approaches followed here at HCIS. We remain committed to transform our students into responsible global citizens by providing them with the best of education.
