Although research suggests that up to 60% of children in foster, adoptive or kinship placements have experienced or been exposed to #domestic #abuse prior to coming into care, this has received little attention in policy and practice. ow.ly/h9aq50QCHpk

Some kinship carers who look after a family member to prevent them from going into care are set to be paid a similar allowance to foster carers as part of a £20 million plan.
