I see parents investing so much into prom for their kids - those same kids are going to look at you funny in 10 years for not setting up a junior stocks isa and putting money each month into S&P500 or not taking the time to learn about bitcoin. They will see that there were so many YouTube videos, social media accounts but your priorities were missing - clothes, trainers, video games … all stuff and no stocks. Resentment around parents lacking financial literacy will almost be like how kids resent absent parents today. The standard has shifted
