Understanding the gambler, this approach allows them to dip their toes in the water and warm up to the idea of revealing their struggles. When pushed too far, too fast, I've seen many retreat back to hiding.

The best path to get someone to a 12-step meeting or session with the treatment specialist: Stop #1: Website/Social Channel Stop #2: Podcasts Stop #3: Online Meeting Stop #4: In-Person Meeting/Provider Session It's not the only path, but it's very likely the best path.
