#OIC Condemns Media Reports Regarding the Opening of an Embassy by the so-called “#Somaliland” in Occupied Al-Quds

I am pleased to announce that the Republic of Somaliland’s Embassy will be located in Jerusalem - the Embassy will be opened soon, while Israel will also establish its Embassy in Hargeisa, reflecting growing friendship, mutual respect, and strategic cooperation between our two peoples.

♦️Somaliland Law No. 1: 🎱 Defects♦️ ♦️1. Temporal Impossibility (Preamble): The law was passed on 27 June but describes Somalia’s independence on 1 July as an already accomplished fact. On 27 June, Somalia was still a UN Trust Territory with no sovereign personality. ♦️2. False Bilateral Claim: The enacting words claim the document was signed by representatives of both Somaliland and Somalia. In reality, only Somaliland ministers signed it. No southern signatures exist. ♦️3. Constitutional Subordination Paradox (Article 7): The law tries to make the Somali Constitution subordinate to a Somaliland domestic statute; an impossible hierarchy. ♦️4. Self-Executing Dissolution (Article 8): The law attempts to dissolve the southern legislature four days before Somalia even became independent. ♦️5. Deadlock Mechanism in Clause 10: The only procedure for fixing the union’s problems was later repealed by Law No. 5, destroying the repair mechanism. ♦️6. Derogation Contradiction (Articles 7 + 10): The document promises to protect northern regional rights and then immediately provides a loophole to remove those protections. ♦️7. Lapsed Decree Failure: The emergency Decree-Law No. 1 issued on 1 July lapsed without being converted into law, leaving no valid legal patch. ♦️8. Missing Treaty Obligations (Schedule 2): The law tries to bind the new republic to old treaties without proper ratification or UN registration.
