Aku suka membandingkan Perak dan Johor sebenarnya. Perak adalah negeri Melayu protektorat pertama. Sedangkan Johor adalah negeri Melayu yang anglofilia. One Westernised by rule, and one Westernised by choice.

Map of Chongqing's metro system in 3D. Chongqing is called the "mountain city". Building metro here is more difficult than in plain cities. Chongqing’s metro total length ranks 7th in the world, with over 550 km.

"Semua orang nak station tu walking distance di seluruh ceruk bandar. Tapi semua taknak lalu tepi rumah mereka."

Pernah ulas sikit tentang ni dulu. Dia bukan sebab cuaca sangat. Kalau lalu tepi kawasan T20 lagilah. Siap dibatalkan station sebab ganggu kejiranan mereka. Ada yang station dah siap pun tak bagi buat lintasan pejalan kaki merentas jalan sebab takut jalan rumah mereka jadi tempat parking. Lalu bawah tanah pun sama. Kes terowong SMART tu pun dilencongkan sebab ada yang tak setuju lalu bawah bangunan mereka. Tengah buat, ada berapa banyak saman kena hadap kat mahkamah. Ada kena hold sebab ada perintah mahkamah. Sebab tangguh macam tu je kos selalu jadi mahal. Lepas tu mereka semua ni juga yang akhirnya bising dan pelik kenapa LRT/MRT Station jauh dari kawasan perumahan, dan jauh dari kawasan utama. Semua orang nak station tu walking distance di seluruh ceruk bandar. Tapi semua taknak lalu tepi rumah mereka.

"Just because you’re able to quote Camus, Nietzsche, or Kierkegaard doesn’t mean you feel the dread of life more than a rural farmer does. And just because you sit in a library and battle with abstractions doesn’t mean you understand the moral weight of duty better than a young, vibrant, uneducated man who was forced into the army at age eighteen"

The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible.

Theres not going to be a world war 3. China is not going to make a move. The US wouldn’t have struck Venezuela if they weren’t 100% certain that China and Russia would not retaliate. That means China and Russia have abandoned Maduro, like I said they would. There will not be a war with Iran. At most, it’ll be theatre like last time. All major powers are consolidating proximal interests and abandoning distal proxies. The US is taking Venezuela, while Russia takes Ukraine, China inches closer to Taiwan and the GCC takes the red sea. Welcome to the multipolar order.

First, regarding your comment that some of these videos do a “~ better job than the games.” What genuinely concerns me is that this kind of statement reflects a fundamental lack of understanding of technological history and chronology. Reacting reflexively to the final output, without any grasp of the process that led there, ends up revealing more about your own approach to learning than about the work itself…and that is something you may want to reflect on. It’s like asking, “Why didn’t they use naval gunfire at the Battle of Artemisium?” or “I was watching WWII footage and wondered why they didn’t just use military satellites for reconnaissance. That would have been far more efficient.” Or, to put it more plainly, it’s exactly like sitting in a revival screening of a pre-1980s film and hearing the couple in the next seat whisper, “Isn’t this kind of lame? They could’ve done it way better with drones and CGI.” That painfully clueless conversation…the kind that makes you quietly sigh and wish they would stop talking…is almost a perfect match (my experience). To begin with, the video you’re pointing to is itself one result of training on visuals we created and stories we designed. While the presentation may appear photorealistic on the surface, the character interpretations diverge significantly from the original, the visual expression still carries a strong sense of inconsistency, and when it comes to language..both spoken and written—the sense of unnaturalness remains noticeable (almost as if the kinds of localization mistakes we humans make had simply been amplified). What can be properly and legitimately evaluated here are the remarkably rapid pace of AI’s technical advancement and the fact that, from a cost perspective, it continues to become increasingly advantageous over time. Those aspects are genuinely impressive and absolutely worth acknowledging. However, that has nothing to do with declaring this a “better job,” nor does it validate the judgment behind that conclusion, or serve as any meaningful assessment of creative ability. We work in a technology-based profession. Given the nature of our industry, its convergence with AI is not a matter of choice but an inevitable trajectory. But watching your reaction reminds me of myself back in 1990, when Photoshop was first released. I excitedly told my older sister…who was already a professional manga artist “See? The age of hand-drawing is over!” as if I had personally discovered or invented Photoshop. Looking back, it feels oddly nostalgic. Ah… I see now. What I’m really looking at here is my past self.
