Yesterday Dr Hilary Cass told the BBC that gender-affirming clinicians are “charlatans” and that most gender-questioning children “grew out of it.” Today I have submitted a formal referral to the GMC raising concerns about her professional conduct in relation to the Cass Review. @gmcuk helenwebberley.com/p/i-have-refer…

Lies, lies and then ....more LIES! Back in 2022, the UK media lost its mind over the Tavistock clinic’s Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS). Headlines screamed "scandal": Daily Mail branded it a “Transing Factory,” The Sun called it a “Discredited NHS clinic handing out hormones to kids,” and The Times dropped the bombshell: “Tavistock gender clinic to be sued by 1,000 families” This story went viral, parroted across outlets, fueling anti-trans panic that led to the clinic’s shutdown. Thousands of trans and non-binary youth lost access to vital gender-affirming care – not because of clinical failures, but due to a manufactured moral outrage. Fast forward to the truth, uncovered via a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust for 2012-2022 data on the former GIDS: Total complaints: Just 142 over 10 years, for a service handling up to 12,000 users at peak. Complaints about “wrong or inappropriate” gender-affirming care: EIGHT. Pogust Goodhead lawsuits: ZERO complaints pursued by this law firm, despite their hype about a group negligence claim. Their website still vaguely references “Tavistock failings,” but there are no active cases. This FOI obliterates the narrative. No flood of negligence suits. No “Transing Factory.” Just 8 gripes amid overwhelming demand for care that was too slow, too cautious. The real negligence? Closing the clinic based on tabloid fiction, leaving trans kids in limbo. As the Yorkshire Byelines exposé (10 Feb 2026) nails it: “The real scandal was that thousands of children… lost their healthcare not for any clinical reason, but because of institutional and organised transphobia by the UK government, media and a handful of anti-trans activists.” Neither The Times nor Pogust Goodhead replied to Byelines requests for comment. There Silence speaks volumes. Ultimately, there were LIES. Just as the gender-critical and their media are LIARS when it comes to complaints about the use of single sex spaces - as proven by the FOI data from TransLucent.Org.UK Post-Cass Review, with puberty blockers restricted and services fragmented, trans youth still suffer from politicised “safeguarding” that prioritises fear over facts. We need evidence-based care, not hysteria. Read the full Yorkshire Byelines article and share widely! yorkshirebylines.co.uk/news/health/th…

Anti-trans activists are intentionally interfering with data collection to skew evidence, shape public knowledge, and influence policy. This is a coordinated anti-science campaign aimed at shaping law and public opinion against trans people through misinformation.

Fighting trans hysteria in Britain is so frustrating. Nobody listens. It’s like being in an episode of Black Mirror. Our enemies get to dictate what we are called and how we are described on tv and radio. Complaints by our community are simply brushed aside. I’ve been writing to @bbcnews and @itvnews in recent weeks about how insulting the terms they now use about trans people are. And raising my very real fears that the BBC and ITV are going to push a vulnerable trans person who finds themselves suddenly in the news spotlight to suicide. Same that happened to Lucy Meadows. Almost three weeks on from me writing, @itvnews have not replied. I copied in @RachelCorpTweet @ronkephillips and @laurajwilshaw . ITV’s Home Editor @PaulBrandITV - despite being a gay man and attending various LGBT events where he hears heartbreaking trans stories - is as much use as a chocolate ashtray. Silent. “Well, there are two sides.” Very disappointed by this. Community, aye? Especially as ITV/ITN were the first (and still only) British broadcaster to have a national trans newsreader. Something that would be completely impossible now in the Age Of Hate, now LGBT inclusion and diversity are no longer in vogue. ITV has crumbled. Fair-weather friends. Fickle. I’m alright Jack. Sure, they’ll champion what they see as acceptable minorities - but trans people: Not interested. The BBC’s Director of News, @rburgessbbc has at least replied. Which is a small tick. In short, he denies @BBCNews is biased, and says the Gender Critical movement must have a say on how we - trans people - are described. Because we are “contested”. He also denies BBC News (like ITV News) were biased in their coverage of the Sandie Peggie and Darlington Nurses cases. To me, it’s nothing more than gaslighting, but I’ll let you decide. Children are dying of hypothermia in Gaza. Israel prevented the entry of mobile homes and shelters. Weaponize the weather. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part, is an act of genocide

Last week, the media declared a “partial victory” for Sandie Peggie, who sued the NHS for letting a trans colleague use the women’s changing room. In fact, the case was a flop. The gender-critical movement might be persuading journalists, but it’s failing with judges 🧵

When I defended my Master’s thesis under the bombing and rubble of Gaza, the very first question I was asked was: “Why defend it under these circumstances? What benefit will it bring you now?” I smiled and answered: “Maybe I will die holding this degree, maybe it will be a symbol of resilience and strength, and maybe I will inspire others not to abandon their dreams — even in danger, even when death is near.” This is who I am. I am proud of what I did. Proud that I defended my Master’s during the war. Proud to have become a Palestinian researcher ✌️

I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community. We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect? Trans people are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity.

New guidance tells GPs not to support trans people by providing blood tests. This is under Wes Streeting's political control of the NHS. This isn't healthcare, this is putting people at risk.

Going through boxes from my parents’ storage, I stumbled upon a school project I did at the Jewish day school I attended for 9 years. It’s from either 1999 or 2000 & is very disturbing. A 🧵 about Zionist indoctrination of Jewish children outside 🇮🇱. Pics of the project below 👇

This massacre must be one of the worst atrocities of all. Rescue workers murdered one by one, then buried in a mass grave. This is clearly a war crime. All those responsible should be brought to trial. And we should stop arming Israel. theguardian.com/world/2025/mar…

Probably about to lose some followers and I don't actually care. I read comments from someone today - for probably the 10,000th time - telling a trans person "umm you know actually, you know, you can't actually change your sex and you are delusional." I want to talk to those of you who say such things. Because, I know you think you are right, and I know you think you are being helpful. You are not. You do not know thing one about gender dysphoria or about how these people have struggled. You take a thing that is perfectly normal for you - being at peace in your own gendered body - and you weaponize it against people who have never had that peace. And you tell them that they are wrong for wanting what you just naturally have, that they are broken, that they are delusional, that they need therapy, etc. Or worse, you insinuate or say that they are predators and fetishistic sickos. You lack even a basic understanding. They know they can't make their DNA the opposite sex. They just want their body to be more in alignment with what they have yearned for and longed for, in almost every case, since early childhood. They have a lifetime of listening to people like you communicate to them about how weird / wrong / stupid / delusional it is for them to feel the way they do... and yet they still do. The movement against trans people is not reasoned or principled the way you think it is, and that's true no matter how much you insist it nor how deeply felt that belief you have is. You are not helping. Listen to me - just listen: These are people. Almost every one of them has felt this basic disconnect since they were children. Many if not most have already struggled with and fought over it for years before they ever get to the point of even daring to speak it, to say nothing of taking hormones and transitioning. They almost all universally have had the therapy that you think will cure them, and it didn't. Almost all of them have spelunked through their own self-doubt / self-loathing / fear / disgust / hopelessness... just to cobble together a fragile truce that lets them breath enough to even acknowledge that what they are feeling is real. Then along you come. And you pile on them not only all your biases and misunderstandings and demands over who *they* should be, but all of your pseudo-scientific BS and your overgeneralizations and in some cases just your pure, selfish bigotry and nastiness... because they have finally, after all their torment and torture and doubt... finally gotten up the courage to stop hurting privately and the courage to start trying to heal. So naturally, your response is what? To make them suffer publicly. With all due respect, may I suggest that f you cannot make peace with someone else living life in their bodies in a way that brings them the peace they have searched for since they were just littles.... that you, my friend, are the one with the problem. It's not them, it's you. They are not broken. They are not flawed. They are not bent, evil, horrible, etc. This is a you problem. You deal with YOU. Don't deal with them, when the reality is that it's you who are bringing your baggage to the ball. That's all I have to say... click that unfollow button now if you wish; just get on with it. I don't have time for games or for pretending. That is all.
