I think the goal should be Public Costco. Sell groceries, AND use public procurement to sell other essential home goods at cost—stuff like efficient window ACs, window heat pumps, induction plates and stoves, etc. Throw in school supplies. What else?

If a homeless person is using the library because they have nowhere else to go, and they aren’t bothering anyone, they should be allowed to use that public service like everyone else.
Libraries are one of the last public spaces where people can exist without being expected to buy something. Access to warmth, safety, washrooms, internet, knowledge, and human connection shouldn’t depend on whether you have an address.
Being homeless is not a crime. Existing in public while poor should not be treated like one either. Full Stop 🛑

The summer is a time for young people to enjoy the city, have new experiences, get a job or simply rest. It’s not a time for violence.
I sat down with violence interrupters and young men directly impacted by gun violence to talk about what this administration is doing to keep New Yorkers safe.
Real public safety means investing in people before tragedy strikes: summer jobs, mental health support, community programs, safe streets, and trusted messengers who grew up in our neighborhoods.

Black Films like The Color Purple, Is God Is, & etc should be taught at HBCUs as an Introduction to Race, Gender, & Intersectionality course for Freshman students.
I think it’s important we teach the next generation of Black students about these themes in their first year.

I’m DYING!!! if I don't undergo surgery immediately im literally $422 away. I got the worst news that I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease which is a life risk factor for me on top of me having type 2 spinal muscular atrophy makes my case worse.💔
