Our exciting news! We've been collaborating closely with @FairTradeCentre since we started and now we're merging All our work in Ghana and the UK will continue under the banner of The FIG Tree.

The cocoa farmers we work with in Ghana are all part of the #Fairtrade co-operative Kuapa Kokoo. They supply cocoa to companies like @divinechocolate and @coopuk The guaranteed minimum price has made a big difference and they're proud to be Africa's first Fair Trade Town

It's #FairtradeFortnight and in this very special year we're marking 30 years since the first Fairtrade marked products hit our supermarket shelves We can all be the change we want to see in the world by choosing from the thousands of Fairtrade products available in our shops 1/

We're super excited that our #ChocolateHasAName project is finally coming together. We have a group of people training all this week who will come back to the #Fairtrade cocoa growing community of New Koforidua in #Ghana ready to share the knowledge of #chocolate making

@FairtradeUKEd We've been using this map with secondary school students - it's a really clear way to show how colonialism is at the root of the unfair global trade system
