@nickreeves9876 Farage's defence of the £5 million undeclared "personal gift"/"security contribution"/"reward for tirelessly campaigning for Brexit" is to express outrage that it didn't remain secret. This is as credible as a serial killer demanding that people stay away from his cellar. 🤣🤣

Farage’s claim that a Russian hack was behind a Guardian report on the £5m gift he received from a crypto billionaire has been described as “without any merit” by a former head of the National Cyber Security Centre. Ciaran Martin, founding chief executive of the agency, which is part of GCHQ, said Farage has not produced a shred of evidence to support that claim. Farage is trying to combine distraction from what must ordinary folk would regard as corruption, with a desperate attempt to disassociate himself from Russia. As usual he's lying. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

@paullewismoney It's another case of the richer people who are rigging the game desperately wanting the rest of us believing that the game is fair. Keep up the good work.

For those arguing with me please produce some counter evidence (not random anecdotes) and challenge the academics who did this research. The journalist who wrote this summarised it and I attempted to do the same. I’m sorry if the findings conflict with your view. Catholics had the same trouble with Galileo.

@benonwine Many of the Victorian railways were only completed after the original companies went bankrupt during their construction. For example, East Anglian Railways, Eastern Counties Railway and the many smaller companies that collapsed during the "railway mania" period of the 1840s.

£102.7 BILLION… and they’re now saying HS2 might not even be finished until 2039. Honestly, this project has become one of the biggest money pits in British history. How does a railway line end up costing this much and taking THIS long in a country that once built world-class infrastructure decades ago without endless delays and excuses? Taxpayers are being absolutely rinsed while the budget spirals out of control year after year. At this rate people will be travelling by teleportation before HS2 is finished.

@premnsikka We're clearly taxing into the salaries of those FTSE 100 CEOs. 🤣 @RachelReevesMP should restore the allowances and tax bands to their indexed values and instead introduce a 50% rate for incomes over £250,000 and a 2% tax on the wealth of those with assets over £10 million.

In 2021, Tory govt froze annual personal allowance (PA) at £12,570. Labour continued with it. If PA increased in line with inflation, it would be £16,048 for 2026/27. As a result, someone earning £20,000 will pay extra £696 income tax in 2026/27 alone. leftfootforward.org/2026/05/the-ki…

Why on earth are the U.K. news channels all covering live the US President reading a list of names of all his friends and cronies? Junk TV at its worst. Rambles like this should be recorded and then reported upon if he actually says anything newsworthy

@SkySportsNews Can't understand why UK taxpayers should be footing the bill for any police officer to go to the World Cup or to any other sporting event overseas. Should cut the numbers by 100% (or by 500% if you studied math at Trump University). 🤣

@Tush27J The late Robin Williams was right. Politicians should wear jackets like Formula 1 drivers, with badges identifying all the significant donors to that politician's campaigning. That way it's clear who they are speaking for. Should be a law, together with outlawing lying by MPs.

Panorama should do a special edition on that £5 million gift from Christopher Harborne to Nigel Farage. If it had been Keir Starmer or Zack Polanski there would be a special, plus a repeat within 48 hours. #BBCBreakfast #Panorama

@Glasgow_Times @CelticFC should pay for the policing of these "celebrations" by their fans as well as paying for the clean up. That just leaves the business owners who suffer a loss of turnover because shoppers avoid the town on days like these. Same goes for @RangersFC if they win anything.

The BBC refuse to hold scammer Farage to account. MPs are meant to declare ALL gifts over £300 in the calendar year leading up to their election. I refuse to look away. Repost if you feel the same.

@SprinterPress President Xi's hosting of Trump's visit to China just shows there are more subtle ways to humiliate a foreign leader than shouting at him in a trashily redecorated Oval Office. @realDonaldTrump - who had all the cards in Beijing? 🤣🤣🤣 #loser

@JoJoFromJerz It's a mystery why the same Republican Congressmen and Women who cowered in the Capitol building on January 6th in fear for their lives did not vote to prosecute Trump and now fail to curb his abuse of executive power, his lying and his corruption. None of them are fit for office

@BBCScotland If councils built houses instead of private companies, there'd be no argument about people having holiday homes. The real issue is the shortage of public housing for rent and the hoarding of land banks by developers. The housing crisis won't be solved by holiday homes being sold.
