Everyone is panicking about @RestoreBritain_ splitting @reformparty_uk vote and allowing Burnham to win. The panic is misplaced. The worst political outcome would be Restore stepping aside to allow Reform a victory. With its current direction of travel, Reform offers the country no redemption. By stepping aside, Restore would concrete in Reform’s hopelessness. Restore must fight this election and do the best it can. If it were to gain 7% of the vote, as predicted, that would send an earth quake through Reform. Reform might then correct its ways. A Burnham victory makes not a blind bit of difference to the country. Labour has a 156 seat majority. Whether Burnham or some other idiot from Labour becomes PM makes no difference. And for those worried about an early general election - turkeys do not vote for Christmas. It is not happening. Restore and Rebecca Shepherd must fight this by election tooth and nail. I know @_AdvanceUK supporters are already in Makerfield campaigning on their behalf. I will help where I can.

You couldn't wait to talk to the nation @Keir_Starmer showing your outrage re George Floyd, you demanded the previous government should show the same. Where's your outrage for Henry Nowak who also said "I can't breathe". Why not the same outrage! You're a despicable hypocrite!

@zatzi Unfortunately Lowe just doesn't care. It is his motto after all. The selfish fool would rather see us all suffer, purely to exact his revenge on Farage. Politics is an ugly game, played by selfish players and it is us ordinary folk who are always the ones to suffer.

The right needs to unite to defeat the dangers of the left. Country before party, Britain before ego. As a Tory, I’ve said I think the Tories should not have stood in Makerfield. Same goes for Restore. This is not any old election. It is a very specific one where the national interest should trump other considerations.

When we set aside all the pontificating by Charlie Downes and look at Restore Britain in the cold light of day we can see what it is fairly easily. It's a spite and spoiler project for Rupert Lowe who has a pathological hatred of Farage and Tice and is desperate to stop Reform getting into government at all costs. Their aim is to spike Reform getting a majority and give the Tories time to recover.

At the meeting point for Restore Britain. Four Reform canvassers decided to show up and hover around. I asked them why they are supporting Reform. They couldn't respond, simply giving the line that we just support Reform UK, despite the fact they kicked out Rupert and called the police on him, despite the fact they don't actually want to deport millions.

I love it here too. Wouldn’t be anywhere else at the moment. To me it feels like England from when I was young lad. With much better weather! It’s polite, low crime… People smile and are happy to have a chat in the market. Genuinely helpful too… If I had to sum it up? I’d say it was ‘good mannered’

Keir Starmer, is a decent man, he is totally committed to do the right thing for this country and the world , he has achieved lot in 2 years and lot more to come , he is not weak, he stood up to Trump and refused to go to war against immense pressure, he is rare breed politician

@almalom79 You may well be more well informed than me! I didn't know his mother was a Labour MP nor that she was an actress either. So, as the saying goes.... you learn something new every day. But certainly from what I have observed I don't get the impression that Dan's a 'right winger' as that's mostly defined nowadays.

@mansfieldrv6 @DPJHodges Well, I know his mother was a Labour MP for 23 years. (I was a massive fan of hers when she was an actress) So I was surprised to read somewhere, many years ago, that he was a right winger. Perhaps my memory is s failing me; I am in my 80's.

Dan's now joined the Burnham campaign team full time. But.... 'Cautiously optimistic' isn't the 'win' that I think Dan's portraying it as. Look at the screenshot from Powell she said 'Really Positive' just hours before Reform took 13 seats in Oldham. And now they are merely 'cautious' so translate that into... 'Fck. Labour and Burnham are Fkd!!' 😂
