Standards and regulatory requirements shape access to menstrual commodities by determining what reaches the market. When well-designed, they ensure safety, quality, and user confidence. However, overly strict or unclear standards can raise costs and limit supply. This can reduce availability, especially for affordable options. Therefore, balanced standards are key to protecting quality while expanding access for all. #MHSymposiumUG

Happening Now: The Menstrual Health Symposium under the theme “Driving Standards & Policy Reform for Affordable Menstrual Products,” convened by @UNFPAUganda STF is proud to be part of this important convening, bringing together stakeholders to advance standards, policy reform, and access to affordable menstrual products in Uganda. #MHSymposiumUg

I am requesting an organization to partner with @altrin25 to plant trees in Buliisa District since there's a high rate of charcoal burning, cutting down trees as a result of oil and gas activities. I will be glad to be part of this activity @UNOC_UG @PAU_Uganda @TotalEnergiesUG

The commitment of this young team speaks for itself witnessed by the pool of attendances for events, mobilization and boldness expressed when talking about or discussing the initiative. Our #MEL team is working towards publishing the impacts of this generational institution.

The initiative has developed into a very active and enthusiastic team of undergraduates and fresh graduates who eagerly and actively participate to drive the vision forward.

ALTRIN is a young but growing community based initiative that aims at inspiring academic and professional excellence among secondary school students, undergraduates and fresh graduates in the Albertine region, particularly in Buliisa District.
