We desperately need Laws that protect fictional content, this problem is metastasizing at an accelerating rate, and the argument of 'compelled speech' is becoming less and less sympathetic.

The manga artist banned from Google was Masahiro Itosugi, a hentai artist. Google bans anything that is CSAM adjacent, even if it is 100% fictional. He was banned while backing up his old manga art copies. Some of his more famous works are Iinari with a classic school theme ecchi setup, and the NTR Mahou Tusaki no Bouken. He was likely banned when he uploaded works from "Aki Sora", which was his most explicit series according to his fans... and it centers around intense taboo themes like incest in high school-aged characters. Much of his art style is drawn in the cute, youthful, loli adjacent themes that are pretty common in Japanese Hentai. Other artists have been banned as well, such as Naoki Saito, who was banned when artwork was submitted to the cloud drive. This caused his main YouTube channel and the account to be banned automatically, and he had to migrate to a second channel. Hundreds of other artists, users, and amateur artists have also been banned for similar kinds of illustrated explicit content, where Google's AI considers drawings the same as real CSAM.
