@FelicityHewitt_ Personally, I find it annoying to constantly read the word 'said'. Once a conversation is underway, I don't feel it's needed.

Question:
I’ve heard somewhere that the only dialogue tag in a book should be the word “said”
is that true? Is it good advice?
I mean, to each their own and I know great books can be written with any style, but I will keep using my colorful dialogue tags Tysm #WritingCommunity

@goodreads Yes, I always have done, ever since I learnt to read when I was 4. Over the past 50 years, books, in particular fiction, has been my anchor.
