After 8 long years of pain, darkness, danger, and neglect, the traffic lights at Awoshie-Mangoase Baah Yard are finally working again. For years, residents, motorists, traders, schoolchildren, and commuters were forced to navigate this busy intersection at great risk. Countless complaints were made, promises came and went, yet the situation remained unchanged. Many had simply lost hope that anything would be done. Today, that story has changed. This may seem like a simple traffic light to some, but to the people of Awoshie-Mangoase Baah Yard, it represents something much bigger: safety, dignity, and the belief that their concerns matter. I would like to acknowledge the support of the Municipal Chief Executive, the Chiefs of Awoshie, and other stakeholders whose cooperation has been instrumental in helping us move this matter forward. I am also deeply grateful to the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Governs Kwame Agbodza, for facilitating and expediting the process to ensure that this long-standing challenge received the urgent attention it deserved. My appreciation also goes to the engineers and technical teams who worked tirelessly, including through the night, to diagnose the faults, restore the system, and ensure that the traffic lights are fully operational once again. As your Member of Parliament, I remain committed to ensuring that basic public services are not treated as privileges but as necessities. Our municipality deserves functioning infrastructure, safer roads, and a government that responds to the everyday challenges of ordinary people. This is not the end of our work but a stark reminder that when we listen to the needs of our people and act with urgency, progress is possible. I also wish to appeal to all residents, drivers, traders, and community members to take collective ownership of this restoration. Let us remain vigilant and help protect the equipment from theft, vandalism, and damage. Public infrastructure belongs to all of us, and safeguarding it is a shared responsibility. To everyone who kept raising their voices and refusing to accept neglect as normal, thank you. To the media houses and journalists who consistently highlighted the dangers posed by this situation, I acknowledge and appreciate your role. Together, we will continue to push for the development, safety, and transformation that Ablekuma North deserves. #EwuraForABN #AblekumaNorth #NotMeUs #Focus Friday| 22ndMay, 2026 photos.app.goo.gl/SbRkZGE48xQWtd…

They don’t want their Quran to mix with our Bible but they want their children to mix with our Mission schools .. these Muslims are not Muslims .. they are extremist who always want to disrupt Peace and bring division and hatred .. such should be condemned

“We place all the Bibles and Qurans on the table. When you come and pick one, they are treated as instruments of work and used as such.” — Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, responding to a request by the Headmistress of Islamic Girls’ Senior High School, Suhum, Mrs. Safia Salifu, for the Quran to be placed in a separate box, not mixed with any other books or documents and handled only by a Muslim during committee hearings.
